𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬, 𝐣𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐫

July 4th

The forth of july, hundreds of parties would be thrown across the country. And yet, Nailea was home watching the fireworks out her window. The multicolored sparks fly throughout the air, but Naileas face was dim.

Jaden had been getting distant. He asked her out only 1 week ago exactly, and they felt more distant then when they were "talking"

Jaden was out at a party, of course at the hype house. But the surprising part was that she was never told about the party. Only 10 minutes before he left was she informed about it.

She of course asked if she could tag along, but following Jadens words of, "They are trying to keep it to a minimal for corona" was the bullshit excuse he came up with.

But seeing Bryce posting about the party with well over 200 people, broke her heart. She wanted to trust him. But it felt completely off.

The popping noises of the fireworks continued as her tv played in the background. High school musical of course. And her phone sat on the arm of the couch, several feet away from her.

Her attention turned towards the tv to see Gabriella spill her lunch on Sharpay. She couldnt help but let out a light chuckle, it was always her favorite part of the movie.

She kept her attention on the tv, until she got a call. Ignoring it, she got another one. And another, and another. Call after call, her phone rang with the annoying tone.

Finally getting sick of it, she picked it up to see 14 missed calls from Nessa. And nessa only ever spammed her when something was wrong.

Growing more concerned, she called Nessa back immediately. The phone rang twice before the loud sobs of Nessa rang through the phone.

"Nailea, I messed up. And I just- oh my gosh Nailea please help" She cried out. Her voice breaking in between words.

"Woah woah woah, slow down Nessa, what happened?" She said grabbing her keys off the kitchen island.

"Please dont be mad at me, no one else knows"

"Its okay, I wont"

"I kissed chase!" She spat out. Naileas eyes widened, and silence rolled over the phone. Nailea knew that her and josh had broken up recently, but she never thought that kissing chase would be the last resort, "Nailea?" She whispered.

"Um, yeah I heard you. where are you right now?"

"Um, I'm outside the hype house sitting on the curb, Nick saw it too. Nailea I'm so embarrassed, we were just talking about him and Charli, and he brought up me and Josh and- and I realized how much I missed him and then it just happened"

"hey hey hey, its okay, im coming to pick you up and we can get some ice cream and talk about everything. Is that okay?" She asked holding the phone between her ear and shoulder, starting up the car.

"Yes please, I just dont want to be here anymore"

"Its okay Nessa, I'm coming to get you. I'll be there in about 10" She reassured the flustered girl, "Just try to stay away from hollywood fix, they'll post it everywhere"

"Okay, thank you Nailea" Was the last thing Nailea heard before hanging up the phone. and accelerating the car.

...

"Hey, its okay" She hugged the 4'10" girl, "Let's go, and no one saw you out here right?" All she did was nod, her tears soaking the shoulder of Naileas sweatshirt.

Nailea pat the top half of her back, "Okay, let's get outta here" Nailea smiled and pulled Nessa into the car.

The two girls arrived at the ice cream shop, it was almost 12am and the girls sat at the table in the pitch black. Joking about various ideas.

"You know," Nessa started in a slight whisper, "I wrote a song" Her smile brightened a little bit, "I wrote it a few days after me and josh...  y'know"

"can I hear it" Nailea jumped in.

"yeah of-" Nessa was cut off by the ringing of Naileas phone.

It was a random number.

"Hello?" Nailea asked picking up the phone.

"Is this Nailea Devora?" The voice cut in eagerly.

"This is. May I ask who I'm speaking to?" She asked taking another bite of the mint chocolate chip ice cream in front of her.

"This is Micheal Jones, manager of Xtalent agency. We had a role in a movie that we thought would be a perfect fit for you." Naileas eyes widened.

"Of course. Um when and where do you want me to be?" She asked receiving confused looks from Nessa.

"New York City by tomorrow" Her eyes widened again. She needed to be across the country by the following morning.

"What's the name of the movie?" She asked again.

"Its a trilogy: "Black Forces" is the name" He explained the movies. With huge costars and amazing plot line. It was truly an amazing opportunity for her.

She turned to face Nessa, who gives her a confused look. She should take the role? It could change her life for the millionth time.

"Um, lemme talk to my managers and I'll get back to you by tomorrow" She sighed.

"No problem" And with that, the call ended and she set her phone down.

Nessa put the empty cup of ice cream on the table, "What was that about?"

Nailea put on a small, but fake, smile, "Nothong important, let's just talk"
