Jaden and Nailea arrived at the next stop. The Colorado Street Bridge. Nailea was surprised to see where they were.
"How did you know this was-"
"this is my comfort spot" Jaden cut her off as their legs dangled over the edge of the bridge. Nailea nodded and leaned her head onto his Jadens right shoulder.
It was around 10:30pm. The passing headlights and city lights were vibrant and present.
They sat in a comfortable, almost, silence. The passing of traffic and normal city sounds were the only sounds passed between the two.
Jaden softly wrapped his arm around the girls waist. Pulling her closer to his own body.
It was silent for a while. But a good silent. The kind where you felt as though it didnt need to be filled. The kind where two people can sit together for hours, just to enjoy the company.
"So," Jaden started, breaking the comfortable silence, "What happened. I want the full story and dont leave out any details" He stated, focusing on the girl who never took her eyes off the city.
And that's what she did, didnt leave a single detail out. She broke down by the end of it. She couldnt look Jaden in the eyes so she kept watching the cars pass.
"I'm sorry Jaden. I really am" She pleaded. "I wanted to tell you, but so many people from my "past" have been so judgemental and rude, and I really liked you. So I didnt want you to judge me and-"
"Hey hey hey its okay" Jaden cut her off and rubbed her lower back in comfort, "I would never judge you from your past"
"So you dont judge me for you know... liking girls?"
Jaden chuckled, "No why would I. I like girls too" He joked, letting a smile form on Naileas face, "There we go, I missed that smile" He nudged her shoulder.
"Thank you Jaden" She whispered.
"No problem princess" And there they were again, butterflies. They fluttered in her stomach at the nickname. And her cheeks flushed pink, "Now, let's go to the next place" He rubbed up and down on the right side of her hip.
They swung their legs over the side, being careful not to fall off the bridge. Jaden watched as Nailea took off running and he chased close behind her.
He grabbed Naileas waist and haulted her up into his arms. Her legs dangling out of the "basket" made of his hands . The only sound that could be heard were the laughs and giggles of the teenage couple.
"Jaden slow down" She laughed out as he ran towards the car.
They finally got to Jadens car. He set Nailea on her feet and opened the door for her.
"Thank you kind sir" She smiled.
"No problem" He winked, slamming the door behind him and walking over to his side of the car. "Okay, we have one more place to go to end this wonderful night" He smiled.
"Jaden, this has been one of the best nights in my entire life. And I cant thank you enough for it" Nailea admitted.
His hand slid over to Naileas thigh and lightly tapped, "Stop thanking me, this has been the best night of my life as well" He smiled, not taking his eyes of the road.
After a few more minutes of driving, Jaden spoke up again, "We are about 20 minutes away, is that alright?"
"Yeah" She said checking the time, "Holy shit Jaden its 1am" She chuckled.
Jaden turned worried, "is-is it to late. d-do you wanna go home cuz I can bring you home" He stuttered.
"No no no. Its just... When I was a child I was never allowed out past 11" She said. And it was true, her dad was so strict with her and her teenage years, she was never allowed to leave her house past 11. She was never allowed to go to parties or sleepovers. She was always the girl left out.
Until now, she finally found a group of friends who included her in everything. Always making sure everyone was happy together as a group.
"Oh. well I promise this is the last thing for tonight"
"That's too bad, I really had fun tonight Jaden." Nailea smiled.
