"Good morning Regulus, would you care for some bacon, eggs and toast?", asked Euphemia when she saw the younger Black enter the kitchen. Regulus inhaled the soft smell of bacon and eggs, "Sure, thank you Mrs. Potter." Euphemia rolled her eyes with a small smile on her face. 'The boys will never call me by my name,' she thought and laughed to herself.

Regulus looked around. The kitchen was spacious. It had counters made of marble, and numerous cabinets and drawers. The paint on the walls was a faint, pale yellow. in the middle of the kitchen was a kitchen island made of marble as well. Cooking bowls and plates were spread out on it and the sink was overflowing with dishes which were magically being done. Pots and pans we're hanging from the ceiling.

"Morning Reg!", he heard from behind. The voice was vaguely familiar but he knew it wasn't his brother's. Regulus was busy conptemplating the kitchen, he hadn't realised there was a room behind him. Well a room was a lot to say. Over his head was an archway which led to the dining room which he hadn't realised neither last night nor this morning coming down. It was rather odd he hadn't, because the stairs were a couple of feets behind the wooden table. The table was approximately 10 feet and was made of oak. At one end was sat Fleamont Potter, with James and Sirius at his right. The boys were facing Regulus. James had a huge smile splattered across his face while Sirius was busy gobbling down his breakfast. "Good morning James," he said smiling assuming he was the one who had greeted him. "Hey!",complained Sirius, his mouth full, "Am I invisible or what?" Regulus and James chuckled. "Good morning to you too big bro."

After breakfast, Regulus stayed behind to help James' mother do the cleaning. Once they were done Euphemia asked if they could talk. Regulus, afraid he was going to be kicked out, nodded weakly. The pair sat down at the dining table where Fleamont was still sitting. He lifted his eyes up, away from his newspaper, annoyed. Potter then caught his wife's intense glare and understood it was time to talk. " My boy, you must be wondering why we want to talk to you." Reg nodded, as Fleamont continued. "Don't worry son we aren't going to ask ou to leave." The adolescent let out a sigh of relief. Euphemia spoke in the most reassuring voice, "We were wondering, and we don't want you to take this badly, if you would prefer to maybe be resorted or transferred to Gryffindor." Regulus' eyes widened with shock and confusion. He decided to let Mrs.Potter continue, his questions probably going to be answered. "We are worried of what might happen with the Slytherins if you stay amongst them regarding what happened. You have to know that it won't be kept a secret for long anymore."

Regulus understood the family's motives but he felt he would never be accepted in any other house. People would always see him as a former Slytherin. On the other hand, if he stayed in that house he wouldn't be welcomed either. He feared the Slytherins more than the other houses. But Slytherin was supposed to be his home. At the same time, he shouldn't fear his own home. That was one of the reasons he had run away. What he said next surprised him. "I think I'll transfer to Gryffindor if Dumbledore is fine with that of course.

"So what did they say?"James voice was anxious when Regulus came back up.

-They asked me if I wanted to resort to changing houses or simply transfer to Gryffindor or stay with the slytherins.

- What did you say, asked Sirius

- That I was transferring with you guys.

Both older teens face lit up. They were both relieved he was going with them in a house with familiar and friendly faces. James and Sirius would take care of the people who didn't accept Regulus that was for sure.

"Hey"

Regulus looked up from his book. His brother was looking at him with a sober face.

"Are you sure you're alright with your decision? Everything?"

"I think so yes, I will be alright" Regulus truly believed he would. But he kept thinking back to his family, what used to be home. Maybe it would have been easier to stay, do what was expected of him, of their family. Maybe all of it could have been endured if he'd shown them he was worthy. He had made a rather rash decision and maybe it wasn't a life for him.

"Listen Regulus, I know it wasn't easy. Take your time to have it all sink in. You're safe now."

"Thanks Sirius" He gave him a soft smile and Sirius left the room to let his brother read.
