I ran faster than I ever ran before hoping Sakura had gotten away. As I ran the number of puppets following me increased but Sasori was nowhere to be found yet. I jumped up into a tree hoping to get a view of the chakra strings to see how far Sasori was but it looked as though wasn't anywhere close by. I jumped from branch to branch in the direction of the chakra threads but I crashed onto a puppet and got caught in multiple chakra threads. As I was tied up, the chakra threads retracted and I was in front of Sasori in no time.
"I was hoping that I caught the girl instead," Sasori says without any expression. "At least it proves my point to her," he mumbles to himself. "We need to get out of here, what happened to Deidara?"
"I'm not exactly sure, I just know he lost to Naruto,"
"So he lost to the nine tails," Sasori turns his head, "we need to go now," Sasori untangle me, grabs my hand, and runs away with me.
"Why are we running?" I ask dumbfounded since Sasori has never run from anything.
"We just need to go now," Sasori didn't even look back at me I stopped running with him, Sasori looks back at me with anger in his eyes.
"What are you doing?! We need to go now!"
"Not until you tell me what you're running from,"
"(Y/N) I don't want to do something I regret so let's just go,"
"I'm not leaving till you tel-" My sentence was cut short as Sasori made a barricade with his puppets and pushed me behind him.
"Damn it (Y/N), you wanna know what I was running from. I'll tell you I'm scared okay! I'm scared to lose you and never be able to get you back. I just want you to be with me forever, just the two of us and nobody else but someone always gets in the way!"
"Oh Sasori, leave the puppets here,"
"What are you saying?" I grab Sasori's arm and throw my kunai and teleport us further away from whatever was following us.
"I know a village nearby, we can spend some time there until we find a permanent place,"
"What if they follow us there?"
"There's no way they'll be able to get in it's a really closed-off village and if they do you'll protect me right?" Sasori smirks
"Then let's go before they catch up," I repeatedly use the flying raijin for us to get to the village. Sasori had to carry me the rest of the way once we got out of the forest since I couldn't walk.
"Stop who are you people?" A guard asked us as we approached the giant gate, pointing a spear at us.
"Such a warm welcome, gimme a sec" I pull up my shirt just under my breasts and show a mark of a gourd in yellow.
"I know that mark, (Y/N)!" Another guard by the gate said removing his headgear.
"Ryu is that you?" I said ask I tapped Sasori to let me down.
"It's been a while how you been?"
"Just fine, how about you?"
"I'm good thanks for asking," I heard a bark in the distance and my eyes widen.
"We should get inside,"
"Right right," The gate opens and all four of us get inside and walk throughout the village.
"Where are we?" Sasori whispers to me
"Gourd village, I lived here before living in the leaf. They only let in people who have either lived here or have ancestors here, the only way in is a gourd mark." I whisper back to him as he nods his head.
"You guys will be staying here alright, I'll leave you both alone now enjoy your stay,"
"Bye Ryu," I waved off Ryu as he made his way back to the gate. Sasori and I went inside the small house.
"So how long have you known about this place?" Sasori asked me.
