Was it wrong of her to tell them what happened to her and Mina? But they're her best friends and she should never hide things from them, right? Why does it have to go this way?

Chaeyoung opens fluttered her eyes open, she didn't get enough sleep yet again. She did her morning routine and went to the kitchen and joined her parents and brother on the table.

She looked extremely sad at the moment and her parents noticed it because she would usually greet them good morning but she didn't this time.
"Is there anything wrong Chaeyoung?"

Chaeyoung snapped out of her thoughts and looked at her father who asked that.
"Oh? Sorry, I just spaced out. What were you saying dad?"

"I said, is there anything wrong? Is something bothering you?" Jeongyeon on the otherhand is just quietly listening, eyes focused on his plate as he ate.

"N-Nothing." she could never will herself to say that the best friend which she liked back in middle school finally liked her back but now she doesn't like her the way she does before. That would weird them out if they found out their daughter likes another girl other than her bestfriend which she liked before.

"You shouldn't keep things to yourself Chaeyoung. I know at that age, things gets harder and all you need is an ear to listen. Now say it."

"There's nothing really. I just had a bad dream." she bluffed.

"Oh is that so? I thought you were in a dillema or something." Mrs. Son said focusing on his food again. They all bought it except Jeongyeon who stifled a chuckke that only Chaeyoung gave attention to.

Chaeyoung looked at her older brother in confusion but also at the same time anxiety.

After their breakfast, Chaeyoung saw Jeongyeon about to slip into his car so she ran to him and said.
"Jeongyeon, about the thing you said days ago. It's not what you think it is."

Chaeyoung got straight to the point, no time to beat the bushes and clear things out with her oder brother.
"What are you talking about?" Jeongyeon played innocent, and it's sickening.

"You know, the thing you said weeks ago." Chaeyoung struggled opening the issue up. Jeongyeon finds this amusing, he leans onto his car's door and crosses his arms over his chest.
"What is it?" he pushed, Chaeyoung closes her eyes and said,
"When you saw me at the club, I only went there because I had some urgent matter to take care of. A friend of mine needs my help."

Jeongyeon's eyebrows raised and his eyes widens a little, he displays a smirk as he spoke.
"Oh the club? So it was a club? As in a place?"

"Huh?" Chaeyoung blinks her eyes. Jeongyeon let out a mocking laugh and says.

"I didn't say it was a bar like the club we party and drinl at, but the school clubs, I knew you never liked joining clubs." his tone sounds playful and it's seem like he's mocking her.

"But you-you asked me if the place was any better-" Jeongyeon pushes himself off his car and cut her off.

"You said you went shopping with your little friends, didn't you?" Chaeyoung's eyes shook under his gaze.

She opens her mouth to retort but he cut her off.
"You can't lie without getting caught, and that is your downfall, Chaeyoung. You're gonna have to do better than that." then he turns around and slipped inside his car and drove off. Leaving Chaeyoung dumbfounded.

"Waah, he said that? Wow, you're so done for Chaeyoung-ah.." For the first time she felt slightly angry at her older brother. Back then, every bullying that he does, she lets them slip away but this time, things are just harder to ignore. He just tricked her into telling... the truth. He just confirmed it directly from her.
