Chapter 11: Just, What Are We?

Third Person Pov:

"Goodmorning."  greets the newcomer with an unusual friendly aura, or was he really like that towards everybody else all except Chaeyoung.

"Hello/Hi, Jeongyeon-ssi.."
Tzuyu and Dahyun stood up and gave Jeongyeon a bow, Mina after seeing this she stood up as well and bowed but the tall guy stopped them by gesturing them with his hand.

"Ladies please, there's no need for honorifics."

"Ah.." the two friends looked at each other then shot a glance at Chaeyoung for a split second.

Chaeyoung stood up from her seat and gestured Mina to leave with her little brother, whispering.
"Mina, go to our room for a moment.."

Jeongyeon raises his eyebrows at that and said,
"Why are you telling her to leave, she hasn't even finished her breakfast yet."

Chaeyoung closes her eyes for a second then meets her brothers gaze.
"What are you doing here?"

Jeongyeon let a small chuckle and said,
"I'm just like you sis, I'm chilling while mom and dad aren't home."

Chaeyoung's expression didn't change, she just continued glaring at him. And her two friends, Dahyun and Tzuyu watched with uneasiness. Feeling something is about to happen although they really hope their instincts are wrong.

"Besides, seeing such a pretty girl like her here I think I'm gonna like my stay here." the corner of Chaeyoung's lips twitched in annoyance.
"Why don't you introduce me here to your... friend, right?"

Jeongyeon's eyes met Mina's which dropped down immediately. He smirked and flickers his eyes back to Chaeyoung's, eyes bore onto each other.

Mina could sense the annoyance in Chaeyoung's figure, she gave her short glances to check if she's alright, Jeongyeon noticed those little things and he knows at that moment that this girl has something to do with Chaeyoung.
"You wouldn't mind right?" Jeongyeon said before reaching for Mina's hand and kisses on it, startling the Japanese girl and the two quiet listeners.

"My name is Son Jeongyeon, nice to meet you.." Jeongyeon studied the girl's behaviour and expression with keen eyes.

'She doesn't recognize me?' he thought to himself. Mina slowly pulls her hand from his grasp with a bashful look then shot Chaeyoung a glance.

"Don't act like that to every girl you see because not all of them will fall for your tricks." Chaeyoung said, backing Mina a bit away from her brother who laughed a little and placed both his hands on his hips.

Dahyun chugged down her glass of water while Tzuyu mildly glaring at Jeongyeon. Both of them knows what's the beef between the two step-siblings.

"I just wanna get to know her more, was it that bad?" Chaeyoung ignored his question. He then drops his eyes on the kid standing in between the two and questioned.

"And who's kid is this?" earning an eyeroll from Chaeyoung which he's not really used to. Just why is Chaeyoung acting this way?

"Why do you wanna know?"

Jeongyeon eyed his younger sister with a slightly surprised look. She's never talking this way to him before, just where did all the confidence come from?

"Why? What is she to you? Is it... something confidential?" the corner of Chaeyoung's lips twitched in uneasiness. "She's the same girl I saw with you these past few weeks, right?"

Mina's eyes lifts up upon hearing that, she too suddenly felt uneasy. She was startled when she felt Chaeyoung's left hand reaches for her right one. She felt her heart raises in excitement as she cracks a small smile. Even with a small gesture it never fails to make her feel giddy. She squeezes the other girl's hand back to calm her down.
