ANGELA'S POV

As the sedatives wore out I woke up. I felt well rested than the first time and my head was in less pain . What was an unpleasant sight was the gold ceiling. This was not where I wanted to be. I can't be here again because that would mean I didn't dream about losing my parents or being in this place with strangers who drugged me to sleep. I fidget in this huge bed , trying to get out. I hear footsteps approaching and I immediately think it's probably the nurse again or one of the guards. They won't stop me this time, I'm stronger.

To my surprise it's neither. A young man approaches instead. He's in a casual white shirt with a grey blazer on top and black jeans. He has his hair in a grand  haircut and his beard neatly cut. He stared right at me with his black bright eyes which matched his clean caramel skin. He was very well built too. I have to admit he was really attractive .

My mind started racing back and forth. What does he want from me? Is he going to hurt me? Was he the figure I last saw before I collapsed? I didn't know whether to trust him or plan my next move. His face was giving me nothing at all. His facial expression was almost indifferent. My father's words came to me, " Don't trust anyone okay?" I instinctively tried to move away from this man. He could be one of the same people my father warned me against.

"I'm not going to hurt you." He said in a deep voice that gave me tingling sensations all over my body. It wasn't from fear because I somewhat felt I can trust this guy. I can't show him that just as yet though.
" You're safe . I promise." He said in a low comforting voice. He set right at the edge of the bed and stretched his hand towards me. I closed my eyes awaiting the worst. I got a soft cold touch on my forehead that gave me goosebumps all over my body. I opened my eyes and he was closer than before. In fact he was so close I could feel his warm breath hit my skin. He smelt amazing. He stared into my eyes and I felt myself drawn right into his eyes. For a moment I felt time stop only to be bought back to life by the loss of contact. He had removed his hand from my forehead as soon as he removed the lose strand of hair.
" I'm Kevin." He said suddenly extending his hand for a handshake? Kidnappers don't do that right?
I didn't know if I should tell him my name or anything for that matter. I can't trust him . He's part of the people who drugged me last night and manhandled me.
"What do you want from me? " I asked instead rather enraged all of a sudden.
"What do you mean?" He asked , confusion clear on his face.
"Why did you bring me here?"
" You collapsed in my arms when I was jogging two days ago. I brought you here so that I could get you some help. "
" Why not the hospital?"
" You looked scared. I thought my place was the safest place . " He said with tint of concern evident in his face.
Events of the accident came back to me and I felt pain creeping in my heart.
"Why drug me then yesterday?"
" That wasn't meant to hurt you. It was to calm you down. I had trained professionals take care of you. They wouldn't purposely hurt you. Besides I told them to not let you out their sight." The last part was hardly audible, more like a mumble.  Why would he do all that for me? I feel the need to trust this guy and I have no idea why.
"Any more questions from the lady? " He interrupted my thoughts.
" Thank you." I said shyly.
He gave me a genuine warm smile.
" Can I get you anything?" He asked back to his indifferent self.
"Water please. " I said.
He simply nodded and turned to the door.
"Angela!..." I shouted before he reached the door. He turned back and looked at me in confusion.
"My name is Angela." I continued.
" Beautiful name." He muttered with a small smile. Then he was gone.

I was left to my thoughts. What is it with this man that has me so drawn to him. Weird unfamiliar feelings have come unto me in just a few minutes of talking to him. How can such a serious guy be this charming?

I finally got to view this room at a length. It is rather manly but it is huge. It has a big television screen facing the bed. There's a round wood coffee table surrounded by two grey intimate couches. There's no sign of any decorations. Not even a vase of flowers on the table. There is however paintings right at the far corner . They are unhanged . There's a couple of them , one over the other . The one on top is the only one I can see. It's of a girl. Beautiful indeed. She has a large smile on her face. She has big eyes and dark eyebrows with long eyelashes. She has big afro hair . I wonder if she is someone significant to Kevin or just a painting. Maybe it's his girlfriend. A tinge of jealousy overcomes me. I don't understand it. A man like him has got to have a girlfriend and I don't like him like that. I don't like him at all. I quickly brush those thoughts off and look at something else. I find a picture of a beautiful lady probably in her fifties . She has caramel skin like Kevin and black coffee eyes. She has a beautiful wrinkled smile on her face. She does look like Kevin. I wonder is it's his mother.

The door swings right open and I jump like I've been caught stealing. A trolley makes its way through pushed by a lady in an all black maids uniform with a white apron over. She looks to be around her fourties. She smiles as she pushes the trolley towards me. She places a food tray on my lap. There's delicious looking pancakes with cream and a bowl of fruit salad with a glass of water and a cup of tea. I didn't know I was hungry until the smell of pancakes hit my nostrils. I realised I was famished.
" Thank you! You didn't have to. " I said sencerely.
" It's a pleasure. " She said with a warm smile.
"Uh where's Kevin?" I asked as she was walking out.
" His Majesty is caught up in work at his study. He said to shout whenever you need him. "
Shocked I nearly choked on the water I was drinking. Did she say His Majesty?
