A knock echoes over the walls of the Zulu household in the wee hours of the morning. Mrs Zulu immediately rushes to the door with a knife at hand.
"Who is it?" she asks then listens closely for the answer.
"Ma it's me! Paul." A deep voice answers on the other end of the door.
Hearing her son's voice Mrs Zulu quickly opens the door with great excitement. She however was not prepared for what she saw when she opened to reveal her son with a baby in his hands and a girl who looked rather scared.
" I can explain." Paul said seeing the shock on his mother's face.
Mrs Zulu made way for them to enter.

" So you made the poor girl run away from home so you guys can play happy family in my house Paul!?" Mrs Zulu shouted after Paul explained. They were now seated around a tiny old dinning table.
"They refused to accept me nor the baby ma. We didn't have a choice. They wanted to send Lindi far away and stop me from seeing both of them. "
" How could you be so irresponsible Paul. You know we can hardly afford any of our basic needs but you act like this!?" Mrs Zulu shouted and the baby started wailing; probably rattled by the noise.
Paul tried to calm her but she wouldn't have it. Mrs Zulu held her arms out for Paul to give her the baby.
As soon as she was in her arms she settled down.
"You're granny's girl aren't you?" Mrs Zulu said in a baby talk whilst rocking the baby. She looked admiringly at her. What a beautiful baby she was. She had cute tiny pink lips which matched her creamy skin. She had dark black hair with dark eyebrows but what stood out were the blue sparkling eyes. Mrs Zulu wondered how she was quite different from her parents; but she quickly rubbed it off. She couldn't ignore how much she was drawn to the little human.

"So what do we call you cutie?"
"Angela . Her name is Angela." Lindi said nervously.
" You are definitely an Angel." Mrs Zulu said.

°°°

"You mother doesn't like me does she?" Lindi blurted out when she and Paul were alone in his old room.
"That's not true. She is just disappointed. She'll come around."
Lindi simply nodded not fully convinced. Seeing this Paul went on to say; "Hey! This is our home now. Remember we need to make this work for Angela. "
Lindi nodded again .
"We just need to make sure that the truth never comes out."
