i pulled up to the address y/n had text me at exactly 6:55, making sure i wasn't late. i waited until right at 7 to knock on her door, and when she opened the door looking as beautiful as ever my breath caught in my throat and i had to cough to cover it up. she giggled at my awkwardness and took my hand as she shut the door behind her.

we hopped in my car and she punched in an address into the gps. as we drove the music softly played and she watched out the window lightly bobbing her head to the tune, making me smile. we pulled up to a restaurant i'd never been to before near the beach and they seated us in the back under a canopy looking out at the ocean.

"this place is nice, i've never been here before" i said after the waitress took our drink orders. "oh it's my favorite! you should definitely try the pasta" she said enthusiastically, making me smile again. she was so naturally beautiful without even trying, i just kept catching myself staring and smiling at her.

we talked a lot over dinner about her job and where she's going to college, music, our families... just anything that came up. after dinner, dinner that i non willingly let her pay for... because she still insisted she pay, she wanted to take a walk on the beach. so we left our shoes by the end of the walkway to the beach and took off down the beach. as we walked i hesitantly grabbed her hand in mine and she smiled up at me before she continued telling me all about her friends and stories of her first year at college.

corbyn was so much more than i expected him to be. he seemed genuinely interested in everything i had to say, he was naturally a very funny person, and was great at holding conversation. he talked so passionately about music, which i learned he was in a band with his friends. as we walked along the beach he grabbed my hand and it was nice, so i smiled up at him which seemed to reassure him it was okay to hold my hand. we walked along the shore for about an hour until the sun had completely set, then we headed for his car to head back to my house.

when we made it to my apartment corbyn walked me up to my doorstep and smiled down at me "well tonight was a lot of fun... even though you wouldn't let me pay" he teased. "well i was just trying to pay you back for spilling your coffee all over you" i said with a laugh "hey i mean, i've never been so glad someone spilled coffee all over me... otherwise i wouldn't have went out with you tonight" he said, making me blush.

"wait how many people have spilled their coffee on you exactly?" i asked "hmm, more than you'd think actually" he said "omg are you serious" i said laughing. "yes... and it almost always wasn't my fault" he replied, laughing as well "but you're the only one i'd let spill coffee on me again" he added with a sly smile. "don't tempt me" i said playfully hitting his arm.

then he grabbed my hands in his and looked me in my eyes "i've really got to get going now... but tonight was a lot of fun" he said, and i knew he was going to kiss me. he started to lean in and i quickly planted a soft kiss on his cheek. "thanks for tonight corbyn, it was a lot of fun. text me tomorrow?" i asked him, but he seemed a little disappointed. "yeah i'll text you... goodnight y/n. sleep well." he said before he walked back to his car and left. i slapped my forehead, why did i do that? ___________________________________
