A peaceful village on the planet called Sorgan quickly became your home. Boba Fett dropped you off without any need for an explanation. He could see the lost look in Din's eyes and felt the heaviness that surrounded him. He recognized grief and knew it well. And so you disembarked, giving quiet goodbyes to your new friends, unsure if you would see them again.

Bo Katan, who had left quickly the moment she realized Din wasn't in any hurry to fight for Mandalore, had fled with her friend before Boba Fett had returned. You weren't sure of her whereabouts but you knew that her reaction of disappointment to Din had made him feel even less like a Mandalorian. He wasn't eager enough to defend his home, his people.

"Let's grieve, Din, and then go from there," you had whispered to him.

Omera had greeted the two of you upon arrival on the beautiful planet. You didn't know much about her, other than she was a friend of Din's from when he had first met the Child. She seemed more than pleased to see him, and your heart nearly rose to your throat in terror as you saw her rush to embrace him, her hands on the sides of his exposed face. A tearful whisper spilled out of her beaming lips. "Is it really you?"

He covered her hands with his and pulled them away from his face. "It is. And this is ___."

Understanding. That was her expression. She offered you a close lipped, welcoming smile, and took your hand in hers. "My name is Omera."

"It's nice to meet you," you said.

"And you," she replied. "And you... Mandalorian, it is wonderful to see you again. We've wondered about you and your small friend often. We weren't sure if we would ever see you again."

"It's Din," he said. He smiled politely, unable to give anything more. The mention of Grogu was a flash of pain in his chest that reflected transparently in his brown eyes. He wondered if the wound of his absence would ever heal.

"Din," she repeated. She glanced around him, searching. "Where is the Child?"

"Away," you answered for Din. He looked at you. "He is somewhere safe for now."

"I see," she said.

"We're hoping..." Din tried. He choked on his words a little. "We're hoping for a chance to --- to stay. Here. At least for a little while."

"Of course," she said. "We had a place for you then, we have a place for you now. Follow me. The two of you must be exhausted from your journey."

A small cottage on the edge of the tiny village became your place of solace. You loved it from the moment you stepped inside. With purple wildflowers growing along the perimeter of the property and plenty of chirping insects to create a melody of beauty, you were in awe of such a tiny place. The cottage was one-room, with a pump outside to gather water from the river and a full sized bed in the corner. A table with two chairs, made from the same wood of the walls, sat in the center of the room, on top of a colorful woven rug.
