You froze, your body going cold. It was definitely there. It wasn't something you had made up. You slowly picked up the bag, half tempted to look behind you, and then sprinted towards your door, throwing your bag up onto your shoulder and reaching for the door handle as the footsteps appeared behind you and a hand lashed out, grabbing you by your waist and tackling you to the floor.

You let out a shout as you hit the ground hard. Thankfully your bag kept your head from knocking against the hard floor as the figure climbed on top of you, his or her legs on either side of yours. You shouted and thrashed, pulling up your fists to pound down on them for a single yet futile attempt at escaping. They were wearing armor; your fists were useless against it.

Your door was suddenly opening and Din was running in, your name pouring out of his mouth as he angrily launched himself at the figure that was holding you down. He pulled the gun out of his holster and grabbed the wrists of your attacker with one hand. He pressed the blaster up against his helmet until, aggravated, he ripped the helmet off of him.

And you slowly sat up as you saw that familiar face.

You launched yourself forward, grabbing Din's wrist and shoving the blaster away from the underside of your brother's jaw. "Din, no! Don't hurt him!"

Confused and afraid of hurting you, Din stopped, dropping his weapon and falling back onto the floor. He raised his hands in surrender and you turned towards your attacker and he couldn't understand why you stopped him until you threw yourself on top of the body and sobbed and smiled.

"Darius," you gasped out, "I can't believe it's you. I can't believe you're still alive!"

"I've been fighting to get here to you," he said, his arms around you. "I told you that I'd come back for you."

"Well yes, but I thought you'd been killed," you said. You pulled back. "And look at you! You're so grown up now. I can't believe it's been four years."

"I know." He sat up and smiled, tossing the helmet away from him.

Din glanced between the two. "Are you going to tell me who this is supposed to be?"

"This is Darius," you said. "My little brother."

"And who is this?" your brother retorted, giving Din a dirty look. "Thanks for knocking me over and holding a blaster to my face!"

"You were attacking her!" Din said, jabbing a finger in your brother's direction.

Your brother stood up on his feet and Din followed, the blaster back in his hand. "Well, I was trying to stop her from running away and getting help from one of those bucket-heads out there!"

"This is my Mandalorian," you said, stepping between the two, your hands up and facing each of them. "He was hired to protect me. He's my friend."

"Alright," your brother said, adjusting the armor that was too big for him. "That's good to know I guess."
