Nathan's POV

I opened the door only to find Maia. What was she doing here?

"Oh my goodness, Maia what are you doing here?"

"Who's Maia?" Ariana said walking up to me. As soon as she saw her, she gasped. She put her hands over her mouth and fainted.

"Ari!"I screamed and ran down beside her.

"What the hell?"asked Jennet rushing to my side, followed by Maia, Liz, and Jay.

"Omg, what did I do? Oh, this is all my fault! I'm sorry Nathan, first Dionne, than jail, than your girlfriend, my bad luck is spreading. I should go."Maia said walking away.

"No,"I said putting my hand on hers. "I'm sure you're not the cause. You can stay. I'm taking her upstairs."

"Thanks Nathan. "she replied with relief. I smiled at her and carried Ariana in my arms. Her body looked so pale.

"Should we call 911?"I asked.

"No. We should wait at least ten minutes to make sure it's nothing serious. If she's not awake by then, we'll call an ambulance."Jay said. I nodded and carried Ari's body to her bedroom.

"I'll go get a warm compress or something."announced Liz and quickly walked downstairs. She came back and laid the compress on her forehead. We all sat there in silence watching Ariana. Then finally, about five minutes later(which seemed like five days) I saw Ari's eyelids open. Color slowly returned to her skin, and she rose up from her bed.

"Ari,"I whispered and helped her up.

She groaned.

"Oh, Thank God."said Jay.

"We were about to get an ambulance!"Lizzie exclaimed.

"Exactly. Don't ever scare us like that again."Jen said.

"What happened? "she asked still.

"Well, we were all having the time of our lives, when Maia rang the doorbell and Nath answered the door. As soon as you saw her, you fainted."Jay answered.

"Well, I think you already know, but I'm Maia."Maia said holding out her hand. Ariana looked at her weirdly.

I looked at her and put my hand on her thigh.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah, nice to... nice to meet you."she muttered, her focus not on the friendly hand Maia held out to her.

"Well, Maia, let's ...go downstairs, I think nariana needs some ...alone time."Jen said, followed by Jay and Liz.

"What's wrong?"I asked. Ariana sighed.

"That girl. Maia. I saw her..."

"You saw her where?"

"Nathan, for some time now, I've been having my usual nightmares. But they've changed. Now instead of Dionne, I see Dionne and Maia. I didn't know it was Maia as in went to jail Maia. And in my dream, she stabbed me in the leg." I was so shocked.

"Why didn't you tell me before?"

"I-I was gonna, but I didn't want to worry you. It never came up, anyway. I'm scared Nath. What if she turns out to be another Dionne?"

"Maia's not that type of person. And if she is, then I promise I'll protect you."I said holding her hand. She smiled and lay her head in my chest.

"I love you Nathan. "

"I love you more Ariana."

"Thats impossible. "

"No it's not."
