The Festival

Esteban sat in his chamber with his father glaring down at him "I bring you to this kingdom to marry the princess not start a war!" King Fredrick yelled as Esteban glared back "that girl has been locked up here her whole life without ever knowing what the outside is like so I was doing her a favo-" Fredrick slapped his son across the face with his ring on his finger so it made Estebans cheek bleed with a cut "IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, I GAVE YOU ONE SIMPLE TASK AND YOU BLEW IT!" Esteban doesn't waver, he's always been a fighter after all. He stands tall proud of his actions and glared at his father with anger "It's her choice, not the kings" King Fredrick looked like he was about to explode in anger but simply said "your mother would be disappointed in yo-" "DON'T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT HER AS IF YOU EVER EVEN ASKED HER WHAT SHE WANTS!" King Fredrick stayed quiet by his son's outburst "she comforted me in all those times you've hurt me, you treat her more like some object than a wife..." Esteban this time spoke in a low yet cold voice "you don't understand how cruel the world really is, so you'll be trapped her until you learn!" King Fredrick storms out and slams the door. Esteban sits on his bed breathing heavily from rage.

Allura watched her father angrily yell at the guards for their incompetence and the head guard of that shift was taken to get tortured. Allura may have never had the best relationship with her sister but she was genuinely worried about what would happen to her out there. King Stephan turned to face his worried daughter calming himself down "Allura dear, do you mind asking that mirror I gave you on where your sister is?" Allura nodded wanting to help anyway she could but the way her father went from screaming into calm yet cold sent shivers down her spine. She handed him the mirror and he asked for where she was finding her dancing in the festival with a blonde girl "wait a minute, that's the prisoner who was dancing with prince Esteban. I had her thrown in a cell after the mirror told me she was an intruder so who knows what her intentions could have been!" Allura exclaimed after getting a glimpse of Ella "Guards, go to that festival and make sure no one leaves. Bring my daughter alive and if I see a single scratch on her I will have your heads, bring the blonde alive as well I need to know how exactly she broke in my castle" the King ordered as the guards left. Allura went back to her chambers under King Stephans orders and Allura was glad to leave since her fathers anger always terrified her. In her room she finally let her emotions loose "Snow you idiot..." she mumbled as she sat on her couch with thoughts clouding her mind "I just hope she's safe..."

The festival was bright full of color, Ella had so much fun she forgot everything and so did Snow. The two laughed and danced the night away, "this is the most fun I've had in years!" Snow exclaimed "last I had this much fun was...."

{Flashback}

Little Snow was running around the kitchen getting flour and butter, she heard a soft giggle from the kitchen counter "careful dear you might trip" Snow put all the ingredients on the table "NOW WE BAKE!" they both giggled as Snow's mother taught Snow how to bake. Sneaky Snow had a little idea for a prank "FLOUR WAR!" she threw some flour on her mother "SNOW!" her mother glared at her "don't just throw flour on your mother" Snow teared up "s-sorry..I've never tried something like that before so I thought maybe I could do it wi-" Snow found flour in her face "your said flour war didn't you?"

The two were chasing each other around the castle and giggling away. They found Allura reading by the garden "hello star shine, want to play with me and your sister?" Allura looked up with a grumpy look "I have no time to play, I need to focus on studying" she went back to her book and her mother sighed "all you do is study star shine you only live once, and you're only ten!" Queen Iris takes the book of her daughters hand "hey, mom please I have to impress dad!" Iris shook her head "well I can confirm he's very proud of you, so have fun already!" Allura sighed and nodded "just this once..." 

the three girls played around the garden and had fun, Allura for once let her playful side out and Snow exclaimed about them playing hide and seek and Iris was going to chase them. While Iris counted "psst Allura, follow me!" the two girls giggled and hid in a bush "ready or not here I come!" while Iris was searching for them the two girls talked "it's so much fun with you here sis...why don't you play with us?" Snow asked "I just want to make dad proud, he has really high standards on us and I admire how he turned a poor and ruined kingdom into the most powerful kingdom so I want to be just like him" Snow looked at her sadly "but were so young, just like mom said shouldn't we live the moment" Allura sighed at her sister "unfortunately I can't do that" before Snow could reply "found you~" the two ran around as Iris chased them, she managed to hold the two in a big hug "look at my babies!" the three laughed away until they heard footsteps "your quite the hyper one Snowflake, oh and our little star finally decided to have some fun" the three looked up to find Stephan looking down on them "Iris you know full well you need to carry yourself with grace as the queen though you always fail to do so" Iris looked away from her husband trying to hide her glare "girls me and your mother are going to have a talk, go back to playing" Iris let go of her daughters and hesitantly walked away with Stephan

[Flashback over]

Snow missed her mother dearly, sometimes she has nightmares about her mother trying to figure out what happened to her. Snow stopped dancing for a momment until she heard horses rushing to the festival "the royal guards, come on Snow lets go!" Ella grabs Snows hand and they both run away to the forest. Snow turns around to face the village and all she can hear Is screams 'what have I done?' she thought to herself losing touch of reality

Ella dragged Snow into a strange cottage "Minerva...Snow is here" a lady comes in "where's the other one?" she asked Ella "well she wasn't willing to come" the woman nodded and looked at Snow "poor child" she mumbled "w-who are you?" the woman sharp violet eyes looked at with curiosity, she had dark hair with tan skin. "My name is Minerva...I'm one of the last witches In this kingdom" Snows jaw dropped "w-witch?!" Minerva nodded "this must all be a lot for you, before I reveal anymore I want you to go get some rest" Snow looked at Ella for a moment with a confused look and Ella just nodded with a soft smile telling Snow it was safe. Ella showed Snow where she would be sleeping and Snow laid there with her thoughts eating her up.

This is all my fault

Why am I so stupid?!

I miss mom....

I hope Allura is alright

I dragged Ella in a huge mess

Esteban....he sacrificed himself and I wasn't even worth the sacrifice

Snow buried her face in her pillow and passed out from exhaustion.
