"now then, its time for you to talk, what is this titan?" hanji asked pastor nick as [f/n] sat not to far away with her legs dangling over the wall, her patience was running thing, harshly and her bottom on the top as she played with a rock beside her, but pastor nick stayed in his crotched postiton, leaning over the wall looking down at the city

"what is it doing inside the wall?... and why did you people keep this a secret all this time?" she asked once again, looking down at him with her glasses on top of her head but to no avail, he didnt respond, but [f/n] kept her gaze on the ground below her, wondering what it would feel like to jump down, but then pastor nick stood up, catching her attention

"i have work to do! my church followers have been devastated. this is your fault, i will demand restitution , now let me back down." and she watched as hanji narrowed her eyes and before she could speak, [f/n] spoke up instead as she quickly replaced hanjis spot

"certainly." she stated and hanji rajsed an eyebrow bht was soon shocked as she placed him above and off of the wall, pointing him towards the ground meant that she could drop him at any time she wanted to

"will straight down do? answer the question, or do you want to die now? im the captain of the scout regiment, along with my cousin, levi ackerman. do you want to die from one of the strongest soilders in humanity? choose something, dickface." she scolding and gritted her teeth and he smiled before spreading his arms out

"let me go, let me go away with the gods of the walls" he stated with almost joy and scoffed before throwing him back on top of the wall, hange and miche catching him as well

"i don't have time for games, confess or dont. im not here to fight, nor am i here alongside my subordinates to kill, im simply here to get answers, but youre being difficult and wont give me what i want. i dont need to hear stories about you god, i just want a simple reasoning as to why you assholes keep everything a secret, its so relentless" she stated

soon enough, the bell started ringing and in panic, her and hanji turned both of their heads that way and heard a horse nearby

"hey, you okay? its like you're ignoring me recent-"

"i gotta go do something, um im sorry i'll talk to you when i can but im really busy this week, and possibly the next but i'll make time for us this week i promise." she cut him off and he sighed before nodding

then fast forward a week, after their mission was over, she still hadn't talked to him, she was busy though, she had duties to do as a captain, and so did he.

then her secret she was keeping from everyone.

it was even worse with her trying to prove her loyalty, it was tricky enough dating the enemy, being one of the marley/eldian people and soilders meant she left when everyone else did, most people though she was one of then, not aware of her lying to levi, mikasa and most importantly eren.

falling in love with the enemy was out of the option, everyone thought she actually loved eren, and the soilders thought she was using him to get information from him, which partially was right

she knew her last name was ackerman, and she loved mikasa and levi dearly, she even loved eren, but she didnt want to be any kind of marleyan, let alone in the middle of this war that was soon to break out.

her mother was eldian and her father was marleyan, and thats why her parents treated her so badly, her father remarried into her the ackerman family, she didnt want to be on both sides, but she was ties in between them

struggling with her identity, sexuality, and bias was a constant thing that happened, even going as far as getting beat by reiner and berthodlt.

simply for not being loyal

she took no interest in the pair, and they knew her, mikasa, and levi were seriously related by blood, and not the battlefield like reiner and berthodlt

to put it simply,

she had no idea about returning to marley, but she knew she would get ratted out eventually

"hey, what you doing for valentine's day?" she heard the cheerful boyfriend of hers ask and she turned her head to him

"nothing. but i have to help levi out with training for a few hours." she stated with a small smile on her fsve and his mood instantly deopped and she looked at the younger man in panic with a raised eyebrow

"never mind, see you around." he stated before turning around, walking away from the confused yet agitated woman who was a year older than him

she knew he wanted to go do something with her, she just didn't know why ge was so beat up about it, was it his first time having a girlfriend on valentine's day? even worse, its the day not to far from today, and at the very moment they were slipping away, it decided to come now? this moment?

she hated valentine's day.

she thought it was useless, she could show eren how much she loved him daily, never once did she think about getting presents, but maybe today she'll give out one to him, simply to make him happy

the time for her to leave back to marley was coming, and it was coming up quick, not that she disnt know how to deal with it, of course she did.

but she grew attached to everyone here, she didnt think they were devils, theh were soley trying to survive based on the evil living things put on on this country by the one she swore to respect, and 4 years agao she had respect for them, but now, marley is just another rivaling country who she will do anything to defeat, and reiner along with bertohdt should have known thag by now

not only was she distancing herself from eren, she was also distancing herself from reiner & bertodhlt simply because she knew they were coming close to the day she needednto get ratted out, hanji eould understand, but everyone else, mosyly her family, only being levi and mikasa would turn on her, and she regretted the decision she made back 5 years ago, to live on paradis island with her family

then they became abusive because of the lack of money and food.
