“Uncle Reagan!” Camilia runs to him and hugs him as he walks to her door. “What are you doing here?”

“I’m here about Danielle.” Camilia looked at him with a shocked face. She knew who Danielle was and she knew that they were sisters. She hadn’t really had an opportunity to meet her in person though but there was a quirk… Danielle didn’t know about Camilia.

“Is she alright?”

“She saw you at Max’s inauguration. I thought you were told to stay behind.” Reagan looked at war with himself and didn’t want to yell at his niece but he was finding it hard to restrain himself.

“I couldn’t very well stay behind Uncle Reagan. You know that. I tried hard to not be seen by her.” Camilia looked around at the small pack that she now called home.

“You could have tried harder.” Reagan gritted out. Camilia went to respond before a growl from behind her, startled them both.

“You would be wise to watch your tongue in the presence of my mate, mate.” Spoke the husky voice of Alpha Chief Tyrone.

“Oh Chief, knock it off. He’s my uncle for Pete’s sake.” The man walked forwards and put a protective arm around Camilia’s waist. “Geez, that possessive streak of yours never did wear off did it?” She gave Chief a teasing smile before looking at her uncle. “Why not come inside and we’ll talk.” She got out of her mate’s hold before walking inside the small house.

Reagan went to follow and was stopped by a hand on his chest. He looked at Alpha Tyrone and narrowed his eyes. “You are in my territory Chambers. You will abide by my rules or you’ll be kicked out and refused entry.” Reagan nodded in understanding, biting his tongue knowing that if he spoke he would regret it. He walked inside and into the small kitchen where Camilia was making some coffee.

“Coffee?” She asked as both males walked into the room. Reagan nodded as Chief shook his head before walking to the table.

“I don’t see how you can drink that stuff. It’s just so… Blah.” Camilia let out a giggle and shook her head at her mate’s response.

“I’m used to it. It’s not like I’m making you drink any of it.” Reagan watched as she poured the coffee into another mug and moved it across the bench for him.

“Thanks.” He replied before grabbing the mug. Camilia walked around the bench and walked to the table, before sitting on Chief’s lap. Chief growled before kissing her neck and going back to reading the newspaper that was situated on the table.

“You’re such a softy Chieftain. Seriously, one of these days I’ll wake up next to a giant walking marshmallow.” She paid no attention to the growl he gave in reply; instead she looked at her uncle as he sat opposite them. “So how’s Dani doin’ anyway?”

“She doesn’t like being called Dani. She doesn’t take to kindly to that ever since that day.” Camilia knew the day that her uncle was talking about. She was told by her grandparents – who had taken her in – about that day and she cried for about a week after that. She had been the same age as Danielle, them being twins and all, but she couldn’t imagine what it must have been like for her sister to have to watch something like that.

“She’s still holding that against herself huh?” Reagan shook his head.

“Nah, she got over that over the years, she’s just touchy about the subject. She injured a Beta before I came because he tried to touch your father’s military tags.” Camilia and Chief chuckled.

“I don’t doubt she did. From what I’ve heard, she has quite a temper on her at times. You never answered my question though. How’s she doin’?”
