"Porscha, wake up!"

Damn, it's the next morning. I was up all night packing, I must've passed out on the sofa because I hear my brother yelling my name telling me to get up for they can start moving the furniture. I jump up, run to the bathroom, took a quick shower, and was getting ready to throw on my sweatpants and  T-shirt when my mom stops me and tells me to put on something else so I can go chill with D.W. today for she can move and it will keep him from popping upon us today. So, I threw on a cream shirt and my jeans and my cream color Coach sneakers. I throw my hair up into a ponytail and get ready to walk to the bus stop when my mom yells down at me, "Porscha, you make sure that you keep him busy today!"

"Yes, mom, I will."

"I will call you once we get everything into the new place."

"What if he wants to bring me home, mom?"

"Then you tell him that you spending the night with Nay tonight."

"Okay, mom, love you and I'll see ya'll later."

I get on the bus and call D.W. to let him know that I'm on my way and that I should be there in like 15 to 20 minutes.

"Okay, baby girl, I see you soon."

Then I call Nay, "What are you doing, girl?"

"Shit, just waking my ass up, and you?"

"On my way to see D.W."

"Okay, you going be with him all day?"

"Maybe, girl, why, what's up?"

"Nothing right now, but I may want to see your ass later so we can get into something."

"Okay, cool, hit me up then and I'll see what's popping. So, have you heard from Blue?"

"Naw, girl, shit got crazy while you and Money were gone, but I hope to be hearing from my boo soon."

"All right. Girl, I'm about to be getting off the bus, I'll hit you later."

As soon as I get off the bus, D.W. is there.

"Hey, dad, how you doing?"

"Look at my baby girl, she looking just like her mother," We walk up the street to Ma house.

"Hey, Ma, how is everybody?"

"We doing good, now, sit down and relax."

So, D.W. looks over at me, "So, baby girl, what you been up to since I was away?"

"Nothing much, just going to school and babysitting my friend's baby for her from time to time. So, what about you, Dad, are you going to be different this time around?"

"Yeah, I told your mother that, but I guess I'm going have to show y'all. I'm going be staying here with grandma until I get back on my feet." His phone rings, "Yeah, make sure you collect all that and I'll meet you at the spot once I get done hanging out with my daughter today."

I already know what that phone call was about.D.W. picking up right where he left off at.

"So, D.W., what're our plans for today?"

"I was thinking about taking you to the shop to get your hair done and then go and grab something to eat. How does that sound to you?  And, then, after that, I can drop you off at home."

"Well, I'm not going home tonight, dad, I'm spending the night with Nay tonight. We going to the movie later."

"Okay, that's cool that will work out for me better."

It's crazy how D.W. thinks I'm still that little girl that doesn't know what he doing when he goes down to the shop, but, fuck it, I'll play dumb today, I'm about to get my hair done.

So, we get to the shop, and while we there this young dark skin dude comes running up to D.W. I hear him call him Smooth, and they talk about something I can't really hear much, but I hear some and I hear Smooth tell D.W. that these two young dudes got the block locked down. D.W. said he was going have to look into that and told Smooth to keep him informed. Smooth tells D.W. he got him and walks away.

My phone rings, it's Nay, "What's up, girl?"

"I'm in the shop, girl, then, once I'm done here we going get something to eat, then, I'm going have D.W drop me off at your place."

"Okay, that's cool, that will work out just fine, then, we chilling for the night, right?"

"Hell yeah, girl. But, let me get my ass back under this damn dryer before I fuck my wrap up."

Nay starts laughing, "Hell, if you see Money tonight he going do that anyway."

"Bitch, whatever, later."

A few minutes later, D.W. walks up on me, "You about ready, baby girl?"

"Yes, D.W.," the girl was combing my wrap out as he was speaking.

"So, where do you want to go for dinner?"

"Oliver Garden."

He starts laughing, "I should've known."
