We get in the car on our way to go see his grandmother and I'm a little nervous, "Bae, do you think that your grandma going like me?"

"I hope so since you the only female I ever had her meet."

"Really?"

"Yes, bae," and then we turn down this dead-end street and I see this blue Maxima go by. Damn, I feel like I've seen that Maxima before, but anyway.

"You ready, Porsche?"

"Yes, I'm ready."

We walk up to the door and ring the doorbell and the prettiest older woman opens the door. She was petite and thin with jet black hair down to her butt and she had the same green eyes as Money, "Oh, my Michael, how are you doing? I haven't seen you in a while."

"I know, Nana, I have been busy."

"Yeah, I know I hear that from you all the time, and boy, stop sending me money. I'm okay, you just like your dad."

"I just have to make sure you okay, Nana."

"Boy, I'm fine now. Who is this pretty girl with you?"

"Nana, this Porsche, my girlfriend."

"Oh my, a girlfriend, you a pretty one, too. So, how did you get my Michael to settle down? He ain't never bring any young lady up here to meet me."

I look over at him and he just smiling and I'm standing there blushing, "Well, ma'am, I guess he knows a good thing when he sees it."

"I like her, Michael, she a keeper."

"I'm glad, Nana, so what are you cooking?"

"Well, I just took my lasagna out the over and the bread."

"Porsche, bae, I'm about to tell you know this is going be the best meal you ate in a long time."

She fixes us some plates and we sit down at the table with some sweet tea. I start eating and oh my God, my man was so right, this food is so damn good. After we eat, Nana pulls out the photo album and she shows me pictures of Money and his father and his brother.

"Aw, bae, look at you as a baby; you so adorable."

"Really, Nana, that's how are you doing me?"

"Shut up, boy, you know you were and will always be my baby."

"Wow, Money, you look just like your dad."

"Yeah, I know, thanks, bae."

We looked at some more pictures for a little bit while more while Nana cleaned up and then we realized the time and we knew we had to leave. It was already 1 pm and it takes us an hour to get back home.

"Nana, we getting ready to go. I got to get Porsche back home."

"Okay baby, well, I packed ya'll some food to take back with y'all. Plus, I had made some cannolis so y'all can take those, too."

"Blue going be happy about that."

"How is that boy doing anyway?"

"He doing good, Nana."

"Okay, young man, when I'm going see y'all again?"

"Soon, Nana, I promise."

"Okay, I love you," she kisses him, and then she reaches over and kisses me too, "Young lady make sure you and my grandson come back and see me."

"We will," I say.

Nana stands in the doorway and waves at us until we pull out the driveway. "Your grandma is so cute and so sweet."

"Thanks, I'm glad y'all click,"

"Yeah, me too. I can tell that she important to you."

"Yeah, she took me and my brother in once my dad pass away for the state wouldn't take us away."

"Damn, you were lucky to get raise off that good food," I say as he smiles.

"Yeah, bae, you right, you right."

We drove home listening to slow jams and once we got back into town I had to tell him how to get to our new place.

"Damn, your mother really wasn't playing around; she moved to West Hartford, too, damn."

"Yeah, I know."

"Porsche, you know that we need to talk and you know what we need to talk about, too."

"Yeah, Money, I know we need to do it soon."

"Now, that your dad back on the street, Porsche, I don't want shit to hit the fan and I don't want him to find out in the street either about me and you."

"I know, bae, we going have to set something up for you, and him can meet up."

"Also, Porsche, when are you going let me meet your mother and brother?"

"We going be doing all this soon, bae."
