ShojiTodo Angst & Fluff

"Todo?" Shoji asks softly stepping closer as I flinch. "I-I'm sorry, its all- I c-can't- i-it's too much-" I say, trying to explain. Shoji slowly sits beside me, not judging at all for how I'm curled into my knees crying and shaking. "Overstimulated?" He asks and I nod. "Here." He says gently and brings me into his lap, wrapping all his arms around me and pulling me into his chest. Everything is dark and warm and isolated, safe. I can hear his breathing and heart beat as he holds me to him.

He doesn't talk, just keeping me in place where everything seems so much safer and better. I take deep breaths and push my head into his chest, curling my arms in front of me to be closer to him. I sigh heavily and manage to relax as he gives me a welcome escape from the overwhelming sound and lights. "I'm okay, can I just stay here?" I mumble and he says, "Of course, take however long you need. Can I lay back a bit?" I nod into his chest and he lays back against the pillows on my bed. He keeps me there and relaxes, letting the weight of his arms fall on me.

I find it comforting and push into his arms a bit more, laying my head against his chest. He stays quiet for me, letting me calm down in my safe little space. Its not too long before I start getting sleepy and struggle to keep my eyes open. "Its okay, go to sleep Todo." He whispers softly and I nod, letting my eyes drift closed. He pulls the blanket over us and keeps me close lovingly.

~Time Skip~

I wake up to a warm, dark place that I'm growing to adore. "Good morning." Shoji mumbles and I look up at him through the top of his arms. He pets my head softly and I let my head drop into his chest again, relaxing and letting him play with my hair. I sigh softly and cuddle into him, waking up slowly. "We don't have school today, I can be here all day." He offers and I nod. I want this, strong arms around me and warm chest to cuddle into. "Can we watch a movie?" I ask and he nods, shifting to get up. "Nooo~" I whine as he tries to peacefully shift me off his lap.

He chuckles and sits but let's me stay on his lap. I snuggle into him and let him kiss the top of my head. "I gotta get up to put in a movie, Todo." He says softly and I flinch. "Sho. Or Shoto. Please." I say softly and he nods, letting his head rest against mine. "Okay, Sho." He says softly and nuzzles into me. I kiss his cheek over his crinkled mask and lean into him. "Can I stand up and put a movie in if I keep holding you?" He asks and I nod. He stands while cradling me in his arms and puts in a movie with his top two arms.

He carries me back to the bed and we lay back as he pulls me closer to his chest. "Is it okay if I take the mask off? Its not pretty but I've been wearing it too long and I trust you." He says and I nod softly, reaching up to take it off for him gently. He hesitates, glancing away as I toss it onto his nightstand. His mouth reaches up in a wide arc from each side of his face.

I hold his face softly and run my thumbs over his cheeks as I smile. "Beautiful." I reinforce and he blushes a little. He kisses my forehead as the movie starts and I cuddle into his chest. He plays with my hair and rubs my back simultaneously, resting his head on mine. "We should do this more often." He mumbles and I nod in agreement.
