For people that aren't loved

Today I'm gonna have a day with my parents. None of them are working and everyone is in a good mood. We decided to go to a zoo since we haven't been to one in years. I always adored pigs. They seem like a sign of luck and I feel very drawn to them. In the Zoo i went to before I moved here, there were many pigs you could pet or take pictures with. I still have one somewhere I think. It's me and my sister smiling and having the best time of our lives. That was an amazing time but we were so little and I still can remember so many little details about most of it.

"Nico? Are you ready to go?" My mother called from downstairs.
"Almost there." I replied going down the stairs. My parents smiled at me and told me to wear a jacket because it's going to be cold. Of course they're going to be protective again but I actually don't mind right now. I'm just glad we're going to the zoo and I can see animals. As I'm getting in the car my mind wondered of to the theatre club. I was thinking about me maybe being Evan and Akino maybe being Conner. It fitted so good to our personalities. He is the more open one still having problems. I'm anxious and I can't socialise. The perfect duo that would help eachother out. The problem is that Conner died and Evan made everything up. They still would be amazing friends. Just like me and Akino. I can't believe I know him only for such a short time. It feels like knowing him for years but every day something exciting is happening and I usually don't have those moments.

I just know I can trust him with anything even though I won't do that just yet.
I just know we could stay up all night talking about weirdest stories and playing games and laughing.
I just know he'll bring out my real laugh soon enough.
I just know we would hold hands in a platonic way and I wouldn't feel awkward.
He just makes me feel safe. I wish I could tell him all this but it would sound weird at the moment since we don't know eachother that long.

"Nico back to this reality. We arrived." My father made me notice that I was caught up in my thoughts.
"Oh sorry, i didn't realize I was gone." I whispered really quiet. I got up and my father looked at me like I know I don't need to apologise. I ignored it and started to catch up with my mom that was already buying our ticket for the zoo. We walked in and it looked nothing like my old zoo. This one is way bigger.
"Catching up with memories?" My mom asked me while I had big eyes on my face. I nodded and started to go more in.

I saw a cage full of rabbits you could pet and lead my parents in that direction. These were the cutest rabbits I've ever seen in my life. The one looked a bit like my sister. It was a brown rabbit, like her hair colour and the rabbit was always trying to get attention from another rabbit which was a black rabbit. This one reminded me of myself. They seemed to play some kind of hide and seek. The brown and black rabbit always keep being together. The black one looks a bit annoyed but not too much. My parents seem to notice the same thing as me because they smiled at the rabbits. I requested to go more into the zoo and see the other animals which they agreed to.

We walked around for some hours and I started to become hungry so I suggested to go to McDonalds. We got out of the zoo into our car on our way to McDonalds. My parents wanted to eat there and not eat it at home. We stepped in and everything smelled so nice. I smelled a lot of mint with a mixture of roses. That wasn't usual for a fast food restaurant but it's still nice. My father wanted to order for us so we told him what we wanted and me and my mom searched for a table that is comfortable sitting at. As I sat down I looked around and saw some really familiar curls. They looked so much like Akino's. I tried to get a better look at the person that also had some shared features with Aki but it wasn't Akino for sure. I'll ask him if he knows anyone that looks like him the next time i see him.
"I haven't asked much about school. Do you feel better there? Any new friends?" My mom asked waiting for time to pass.
"Uhm.. There is this one guy called Akino. He seems nice and he introduced me to the theatre club which I joined." I responded. Thinking about it Akino really helps me getting used to school.
"That's good. Why don't you tell me about him?" She seemed really interested in this conversation. She really cares a lot.
"Well.." I started trying not to smile, she gladly didn't notice. "He is super extroverted and makes me feel safe and he helps getting used to thing or just getting used to myself." I was about to rant about his whole personality but I never rant so I stopped myself.
"He seems really nice. Bring him over some time." My mother grinned. She notices that I really feel comfortable about talking about that.
"Some time.." I mumbled. Just at that time my dad came and we all ate till we were finished and on her way back home. It was a good day and I'm a bit tired so it won't be hard to sleep for me...
