This is the end of Safe Haven!
This book brought me so much joy and you can't even fathom how happy it makes me that you gave it a chance. Thank you so much.
Allie and Jamie's story doesn't end here. I'm currently working on the sequel and soon I'll be posting it here too — I'll let you know when I do.
Allie's story is so important and I can only hope I made it justice. There's been tons of stories out there romanticizing toxic and abusive relationships, and I had enough. This is NEVER ok and it's disgusting how these stories teach people, especially the younger ones, that things like excessive jealousy and aggressive behavior are signs of love. They are not.
It takes time for people in these relationships to realize what's happening and that DOES NOT make them weak. Even after realizing it, many can't find the courage to stand up for themselves and break free.
If you've been through these things: I'm proud of you. You deserve the best.
If you think you're in a similar situation: I know it's scary, I know it's not that easy to leave. Please talk to someone, ask for help. No, that doesn't make you weak, it only shows how strong you are - and believe me, you are SO strong. If you think you can't currently talk to anyone in your life, I'm here for you.
YOU ARE WORTH IT. YOU ARE THE PRIZE.
I'll end this with one of my favorite quotes by one of my favorite people:
"You are enough. You are SO enough it's UNBELIEVABLE how enough you are." - Sierra Boggess
See you soon!!
