an altar is a sacred space that can be dedicated to you, a god or goddess {possibly multiple}
, spirit guides... etc.

an altar can be anything from a towering marble altar inside a temple, to an altoid tin with your favorite jewelry inside.

an altar is not necessary, however it can be important to people who wish to use them.

Wiccan altars have specific guidelines that should be followed, however i will be discussing general altars and how they are used in spellwork.

altars are- in their simplest form, a place to keep sacred tools and items pertaining to your craft.

items you could keep on your altar if you wish to have one, include:

* magickal jewelry
* your grimoire
* candles
* statues or figures to depict yourself or different gods/goddesses
