Chapter 3 {They}

"You don't seem perverted, I feel safe around you," he said. You were utterly confused. "I'd like to get to know you before we share a cell together. Tell me, what's your name?" "Y/N, but I go by N/N." You said. "Y/N? That sounds more like a female name. My name is Ash. I hope you're better than my last roommate." 

You screamed: "I'm a woman! People don't understand! Look at me, I have boobs! I'm a woman!" You flopped down on the bottom bunk. "Are you sure that you're a woman? If so, then you're pretty flat." "How much more irritating can he be?!" You tried to hold back from saying that sentence aloud. 

"Hey, you. Let's do some fun later? You're the kind of guy I like." You smacked the pervert across his face and yelled: "I'm not a guy! When will you sons of bitches understand?!" 

Ash walked around with you for a while. "What's up with everybody here? Are they all gay?" You asked. "Yes. Every guy here can't have a taste of women since there are no ladies here. Besides you. But I understand you were mistaken for a man. I believe most of the prisoners here prefer the younger ones, which is why we must act very carefully." Ash replied. "You're young too?" "I'm 17." "Haha! I'm older by a year!" You teased him and stuck your tongue out at him, and he laughed. 

The next day, Ash's friend was bailed out by the lawyer of his friend. You were sad that the only friend you had was leaving. "At least he won't suffer here anymore." You thought in your head as you watched Ash leave the building. He stopped suddenly and began talking to his friend's lawyer about something. After a few minutes, the policeman told you to get out of your cell. It seemed that you were also bailed out. "That's rather rude of you, N/N. You're not even gonna thank me?" "Shut up! I didn't ask you to!" you snapped, Ash giggling. "Thank you." You muttered quietly and he smiled at you. He offered to let you stay with him. "Can I go somewhere first? I'll meet you at the bridge at sunset." So you walked down the sidewalk, avoiding all the men you saw. 

Three guns were pointed at you, but they dropped them once they recognized you. "N/N!" Jinx asked, "How did you escape from jail?" "A friend's lawyer helped me out." You said after Jinx passed you your two guns. "He offere-" "Is it a boy?" Axel asked excitedly. "Yes, that's right, he offered me a place to stay. I believe he wouldn't mind if a few extra people came along." 

"Also... Do you remember what Jenny said that one time?" Luna asked. You stopped moving once Jenny's name was mentioned. "She said... that you would take charge if anything happened to her. Therefore you are in charge N/N." Once you realized that the sun was setting as you glanced over at your gang, you grinned and told them that you would be back soon. 

Ash was already on the bridge when you arrived. "Are you always late?" he inquired. You didn't reply because you were busy catching your breath after running to the bridge. "Hey, is it okay if three extra people stay with us too? They're part of my gang." You inquired, heavy breaths interrupting your words. Ash asked: "Gang? You're in one?" 

"Yeah." "You kill?" "Yeah." Ash told you: "Wow you're not as boring as I thought." "Hey! That's mean!" and you slapped him playfully on the arm. 

"We'll let each other know we're alright if we meet at this bridge when the sun sets every time when we are separated," Ash stated. From then on, you both promised to meet up at the bridge at sunset every time you were apart. 

Axel yelled out the first words when she met Ash: "You're handsome!" "Uh, thank you." He replied, trying to make it less awkward. While Axel was simping over Ash, Luna and Jinx got a chance to know the members of Ash's gang. "You know, I think it's stupid that your gang members rejected us when you first introduced us to them." You whined. "They'll get used to you tomorrow," Ash said as he filled a glass of water for you. 

While you were getting ready to sleep, you noticed Ash was wide awake. "What is bothering you?" You asked him, scaring him just a little. "You and your friends are dangerous to me if you stay here. They'll use you to make me suffer." Ash said quietly. "Who's 'they'?" He was silent, then spoke up.
