"Are you going to say something? I'm talking to you. What happened to Andre?" Ring's mom asked him for the tenth time one faithful morning.
Now he was really regretting why he came here today. The past couple of weeks had been heavy on his mind for real— from Rico's assumption that Toya was pregnant, to her saying she wasn't and then skipping town, he'd been in his thoughts a lot.
He'd chosen to come spend his morning with his parents to clear his mind a little before picking Rico up from the gym, but all his mom wanted to talk about was bum ass Dre. He finna leave if she don't cut it out too.
"I've been talking to you for the past forty minutes and you haven't said a word back Matthew, if you don't open your mouth and start talking soon, I don't care how old you are, I'm gon smack you."
"Stop calling me that ma." Ring finally responded, ever so calmly.
"Oh that's what you respond to? Not the one thousand questions about my dead baby brother. You respond to me calling you to the beautiful name I gave you? I didn't birth any Ringos, and I'm gon call you whatever I want in my house! I ain't one of your lil friends." She huffed.
Ring grumbled a little bit, but said nothing back. He had re-up to handle in a bit before picking up his boyfriend, and he didn't wanna go to that with his head all messed up, otherwise any little shit could set him off. He's really just gon leave for real.
His mom looked at him sadly, "Just tell me you didn't have anything to do with it." She said, her voice shaking a little bit. She was tough but he could tell this one really hurt her and he wanted to sympathize with her so bad but he just couldn't.
Ring got up, dusted his pants, then walked up to his mom and gave her a hug. "I'm sorry am, I don't wanna lie to you." He whispered, before kissing her on the cheek and walking out.
He heard her sobbing as he went but didn't turn around. The best he could do was to inform his dad who was outside that his wife needed him.
He hoped she was okay, but it wasn't his fault her brother had a few screws loose. That shit was bound to happen. You can't be moving crazy and not get crazy reactions.

Rico had been working out all morning, trying to rid his mind of Savanna and her bullshit. She's been trying so hard to make him miserable lately. She keeps calling him up at all hours of the night on different bullshit, interrupting his dates with Ring, and talking disrespectfully to him.
