My Opinion On My Fandoms' Ships

So I might be a little biased when it comes to this as someone who actually kins Kiyotaka, but I might as well since Danganronpa is...oddly my comfort as well as my current obsession and I need somewhere to express my feelings on things. This book is an outlet for at least this part because I'm terrible at making friends who are in the same fandoms as me.

Anyway back to us all thinking about the sad death that was Mondo Owada. The way that I found out about Danganronpa was through the anime. I watched all of the first one at least in a day a think, and liked it. Didn't connect with any characters in particular at the time of viewing, but I liked it. As someone who wad just viewing it with no opinion until the end, even I thought that these two would at the very least hug before the execution and was actually really surprised they didn't. That moment felt so perfect for...something, but there was nothing. I got more into the series, and learned more about characters and understood them far more. When I learned of this ship, you know, I think it makes sense.

I've gotten so many mixed signals about how canon it is. I've had majority of people say it's canon, while a few people here and there saying it was either fake or a joke. And without proof of it either way, I can't say which I think it is, but I can defiantly see it as canon. I definitely want to be canon, but I'd be able to accept them as friends. I can see Taka falling in love with Mondo, since if you hang out with Taka enough, you learn that he doesn't actually have friends. So it isn't too far fetched to think that he'd develop romantic feelings for the only person who has shown that kind of interest in him. Plus, the fact he got so attached so fast supports that conclusion I would say. But overall, I don't think there's really anything I can anayalise like I usually do, mainly because of how strong of feelings I have developed for this pairing as well as the fact that chapter three was a double murder didn't allow for Taka's character to be fully explored. The only problems I have with it are the "fans" it's recently been accosiated with, and that doesn't change my views on it at all. Honestly, can we just have a blacklist of anyone who supported what happened and just, as a community, ban them and no longer acknowledge they exist or know what Danganronpa is? I refuse to be associated with them.
