Starks Daughter The New Avenger

❀ Chapter 2 ❀

A week after Mila was hospitalized after that explosion, they had to keep her in to examine her for a while to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with her. On the way home Callie decides to start talking.

"Hey Mila, I have something to tell you it's something really important?" she says to her sister.

"Yes, I'm listening" she says to Callie concerned and a bit confused

"So I don't know how to tell you this, it was something told me before dying I spoke to him a month ago before he died and.." she was trying to tell her sister a secret she's kept for months. Feeling a lump in her throat choking in her words trying not to cry.

"Hey Cal, you can tell me anything remember I'm your sister and your best friend. What did dad tell you before he died?" she says worried about what her sister would say.

"It's not easy for me to tell you but, before dad died he told me something he had to get out of his chest and it was time for you to know" she said worriedly how her Mila would react.

"Hey Cal I want to talk to you before your sister gets home," her dad said feeling like it was time to let it out.

"Yea what's up dad? Anything wrong with Mila?" she says kind of worried what her dad would say

"So when your mother got pregnant I couldn't be happier I was waiting for you so anxiously wanting to know how you look and just carry you in my arms" he says tears barely coming out of his eyes trying to hold it in.

"When you came and carried you for the first time I was so scared that I would break you because you looked so small and fragile. Few months after you were born your mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer and she only had over 8 months left" he says crying not being able to speak his voice kept breaking and Callie's eyes started getting red and she felt heartbroken knowing didn't get to meet her mother.

"When your mom died I didn't know what to do I had no experience being a father and I wanted to give you the best life a could give to his daughter so tried my hardest to give you a happy life, but one night I was walking home from a long day from work I got home and somebody was knocking on my door when I opened the door there was a basket with a baby on my front doorstep I couldn't leave her out there and that's how I got Mila." he said shaking didn't know how she was going to react.

"So you've lied to me and also Mila for years? And until now you decided to tell me after all these years?! I don't know how but you have to tell her the truth, do we at least who are her biological parents?" she says disappointed but deep inside of her she knows her dad did all of this out of love and to protect us.

"At first I didn't know but I wanted to find out who was her biological parents whenever I decided to her and she wanted to know more about them or even live with them. After investigating I could believe it but apparently her mother did want her own daughter that she decided to give her out and tell her dad that her daughter was dead but her father is Tony Stark the billionaire genius from Stark Industries and part of the Avengers" he said

Callie couldn't believe that the girl that thought was biological sister is actually the daughter of a billionaire genius and also Iron man.

"Promise Callie you won't tell your sister until you think she's ready to know promise me I don't want to break her heart knowing that I'm not her actual father and that her mother didn't want her please Callie" he says trying to convince her not to say anything.

"Don't worry dad I promise" she says knowing that her sister would end up hating her and her dad

After Callie told Mila every word that came out of Callie's mouth felt like every word was stabbing her in the heart and just felt like her whole life was falling apart.

"So you're telling me my mom didn't want me and that my dad thinks I'm dead?" she said while her eyes were so red of so much crying.

"I'm so sorry I was the one to tell you and not a dad but I understand if you want maybe find your dad and get to know him after he is your father and it's not his fault". Callie says trying to say the right words for Mila

"Right now I need rest I need time to think I just need to be alone" she says with a sad-looking face just feeling heartbroken knowing that the two people that thought were her family aren't her family.

"No pressure no matter if we are not sisters by blood you will always be my sister no matter and no one could change that you understand that. Now go sleep because tomorrow we got to go to school and if you can't sleep I'm here I love you sis" she says with a heartwarming smile and hugs

"Thank you Callie" she says walking to her room and closing the door.
