Mercy's POV:

I was watching duck create a water ninja star when I heard "weapons down" behind me. The voice seemed to be the one of a girl, I was going to look behind me but she spoke. "don't move." I felt the tip of the blade starting to lightly tear through to the skin on my back.

A few tense seconds passed before she spoke again, coldness lacing her tone "look, I just need resources. You can either give them to me or I will take them the hard way."

While she was speaking I felt a raindrop on my nose. I slightly looked up without moving my head and noticed it was starting to rain. 'Is that her ability or just a coincidence?' I thought

After a long silence Duck was the first one to speak up. "I guess you will have to take them the hard way then... now!" I understood what Duck meant with that and quickly ducked, feeling her blade tear through my skin. Hissing in pain, I reached to tackle the person behind me but was surprised when I saw her already backed up away from my reach.

I was suddenly very aware of the stinging pain in my back, reaching to graze my hand over the cut, only feel warm blood flow through my fingers "dammit..." I mumbled under my breath.

I looked back up to see an air ninja star barely miss me and hit the girl's arm. Thanks to the air power the ninja star bore, she got slammed against a nearby tree.

I regained my balance keeping my eyes on the girl and saw her shakily lift her arm up. Looking around, I noticed the rain drops merging and turning into many tiny icicles resembling darts.

I reacted quickly and used my ribbons to prepare a move I like to call fairy wind. The ribbons quickly swirled around me and duck, effectively forming a tornado shield around us. I released the pink barrier, sending it out towards the mysterious girl's attack. Upon impact, the darts shattered into even smaller rain drops, briefly flashing a rainbow before disappearing into the forest.

A cocky smirk tugged on my lips, I was obviously proud of that stunt. Before I had enough time to finish gloating however, the girl dashed in front of me with what seemed to be a sharp ice sword and an ice shield, the frozen blade swinging at my throat dangerously fast.

I tried to dodge her attack but flinched as I felt the pain in my back yet again, stumbling backwards, knowing that it would not be good enough to dodge the attack.

Suddenly the girl's facial expression shifted from a smirk to shocked with fear as Duck knocked her to the ground with a flying kick.

Her sword barely missed my throat, grazing my cheek instead before sliding onto the ground and promptly melting.

Diverting my attention back at the girl I saw Duck pinning her down to the ground with a strong grip.

I slumped to the ground. The cut on my back still stung, it desperately needed cleaning and bandaging, while the one on my cheek seemed to be in a better condition.

At least that battle was over.
