"If you wanted to travel, why didn't you just leave? How old are you anyway?" Artios raised his brow in confusion. The boy did look pretty young, but still old enough to go places on his own.

"I am eighteen, but my Mom and Pa have always been really overprotective when it came to me. Even when I was younger they wouldn't let me go anywhere outside of-" Ivy explained, but was  abruptly interrupted by Artios.

"Hold on." The copper haired man cupped his large hand around the teen's mouth as he heard the sharp sound of a twig snap in the background, followed by the muffled sound of boots hitting the grass.

They were being tracked.

"Shit! They found me already?" Artios whispered before running up ahead and motioning for Ivy to follow in his wake.

The teen pulled up his cape over his head before carefully trailing behind the swordsman.

First smart decision he had made after leaving that damn castle.

"Hey! This is kind of fun." Ivy exclaimed softly, with a playful giggle.

"What part of this seems fun to you?!" Artios whisper-shouted incredulously, as the footsteps approached closer.

The thief found a small opening in the rocks and pushed the small teen inside, entering right after and making sure they were both hidden securely by the shadow.

"You know, it's like going on an adventure! I've never been out with a friend before so-" Ivy started before yet again getting interrupted by Art's hand against his face.

"Hold on a second." The twenty-year-old said in a low voice, feeling a pang of guilt at the instant look of anger and disappointment on the small teen's face.

Ivy did not like being interrupted.

Suddenly, Artios felt something weird and wet slither across his palm, making him shriek and pull away instantly in a jerking motion. He had been completely caught of guard, which almost never happened.

"Did you just lick me?!" The thief yelled, vigorously rubbing his hand against his pant to the point where he felt a slight burn in his palm.

"Yes, because that was rude. You deserved it. I was in the middle of saying something." The younger folded his arms with an angry pout.

"And I was in the middle of trying to not get us killed in case you didn't notice!" Artios argued back with a disbelieving expression.

"Well, there are better ways-"

"ARTIOS HUNTER REVEAL YOURSELF AND RETURN THE MISSING PRINCE IF YOU EVER WISH TO SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY AGAIN." A loud voice echoed through the area, making some of the smaller boulders around them  rumble.

Missing Prince? When did that happen? Is that why his guard didn't come to deliver breakfast in the morning?

He was really hungry today, that was pretty shit mo- Nope, not the point.

Also everyone knew Artios only stole objects, he never got involved with people. What would he even do with some random prince?
