"Hey Art? Since I complimented you, what do you think about me? Do you think I'm handsome?" The eighteen-year-old laughed jokingly, tucking a stray piece of hair behind his ear in a supposedly endearing way.

Artios knew it wasn't a serious question, however he couldn't help but gaze at Ivy's form, after he brought it up.

He observed the boy's wet platinum locks brushing against his narrow shoulders, his soft features, his lean but still slightly rounded face, his sharp golden-blue eyes that almost glowed and smile that lit up even the darkest of areas.

Ivy was definitely one of the most beautiful people Artios had seen in his life.

"Ew, no way." The thief lied with a scowl, quickly looking away when he realized he had stared for way too long.

"Ouch. You could've at least attempted to lie." Ivy laughed, not looking offended in the least, almost as though he were expecting it. "Everyone always says I'm the ugly duckling out of all my siblings, but it's not my fault they all look like models. And hey, at least I'm funny."

Artios gaped at him in disbelief. How could anyone on Earth think Ivy was ugly?! Were his siblings some extra terrestrial beings or literal angels or something?

Ivy was annoying sure, but ugly? No way.

The swordsman knew he had decided from the start that he didn't want to engage the mysterious teen in any conversation and quietly do his job, but everything the boy said sounded more and more bizarre.

He couldn't help but be a little bit curious!

He hated himself for it, but it was a human instinct! What kind of cave did Ivy live in?!

How could two people of a similar age, who live in the same place have such different experiences?

"You've probably been with a lot of pretty people right? Since you're so handsome. I've always wondered what it's like to be in a relationship..." The eighteen-year-old blurted, out of the blue.

"I wouldn't know. I've never had one." Artios answered casually, while ruffling his hair to get the excess water out as soon as he reached the land.

He realized that he probably looked like a big dog while doing it, but there was nothing else to dry his hair with at the moment so this had to do.

"What?! No way!" Ivy exclaimed.

"I travel around a lot so I've never gotten the chance. Plus I'm not too fond of being around people anyway." The swordsman explained briefly.

He had already spoken too much, and yet again managed to engage the guy in another unnecessary conversation without realizing.

This was not going at all as planned.

"Not even me?" Ivy batted his silver lashes trying to look cute, and feigning innocence.

"Especially you." Artios answered with an irritated scowl.

"Now I understand why nobody dates you." The small teen stuck his tongue out before unhooking his belt.
