❄ Chapter 47 ❄

Jamie smiled while he was still holding his rose.  "But what about the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy, like, I mean-"

Before the child could actually finish his sentence, Jack interrupted him. He must know that every guardian exists in order to defeat Pitch.

"Real, real, real! Every one of us is real!" Jack could not hide his happiness. This was a big moment for him, for Nixie as well. She just could not shake the thought away that there was a chance that Pitch could win. They had to do everything they could.

Jamie bounced on his bed in excitement. "I knew it!" The trio looked shocked as the voice of Jamie's mother echoed through the hallway on the other side of Jamie's room.

"Jamie, who are you talking to?" Nixie her eyes widened as she looked at Jack, then back at Jamie with a silly smile on her face. It was kind of funny, she must say.

"Uhm..." Jamie stuttered before he looked at the two for reassurance as both Jack and Nixie nodded. "Jack Frost and Mother Nature?" Jamie formulated his answer like he wasn't even sure himself who is was talking to.

It was a moment of silence on the other side of the wall as a laugh could be heard afterwards. "Okay..."

The three chuckled as Nixie let out a breath that she did not know that she was holding.

They laughed when suddenly a strong gush of wind raced through the room. A gasp escaped Nixie mouth as she furrowed her eyebrows. Both of the windows flew open and some noises were hearable outside. There was definitely something going on.

Nixie made her way quickly toward the windows as she looked outside. Her green eyes scanned the view and her hair flew to the side due to the wind. A thunderstorm was visible as lightning flickered through the dark clouds that hung above them.

A jingling noise echoed through the street along with a screeching sound of metal. Nixie's eyes widened when she saw North's sleigh crashing into Jamie's street. All of the reindeers were so in shock that they all ran away when they got the chance.

A wide smile appeared on Nixie face when she saw her father like figure. She looked at Jack before she grabbed an arrow. Aiming at the now broken sleigh.

"Ah, moi deti! Come Back!" North yelled before he let out a cough. Tooth's colorful figure came into view as she stood up slowly. "North, are you alright?"

A sad look crossed the pale face of North as he shook his head. "Is official. My powers are kaput!" He just finished his sentence when the sleigh collapsed, making the colossal man fall backwards.

Suddenly an arrow flew into the remaining parts of the once magical sleigh that everybody loved. Nixie came down gliding onto the vine that was attached onto the arrow, holding her bow horizontal so that she could hold on to it.

Jack flew toward Tooth and North. A gasp came out of the fairy's mouth as she saw her two fellow guardians. "Jack! Nix!"

She wanted to hug Nixie so badly, but when the fairy wanted to fly, she fell down onto the pavement. Jack helped her up, Tooth was a little embarrassed as she strokes the feather onto her head.

"You okay?"  Tooth nodded, but she did not look convincingly.

When Nixie landed onto the ground, both girls hugged each other.  North's blue eyes widened at on of his closest companions. "Nix?"

Nixie hugged North with so much force that the chubby man almost got knuckled over by her.  "What happened? What are you guys doing here? H-how are you here? I thought you were with Pitch."
