*MAIN STORY*

"anakin skywalker is to train you." obi wan told me reluctantly over dinner. while he was gone, anakin was left to look over me. i am only a padawan, and anakin was the only man obi wan fully trusted.

"i trust you to behave while i am gone." he put his hand on my shoulder, smiling gently. "i know that you are a sensible young woman." he stood up swiftly and as he left the room, smiling as he left.

*MY QUARTERS*
obi wan has left all of his faith in me and trusts anakin to help me transition into a young female jedi. i thought to myself, staring at my lightsaber resting on the chair beside my bed.

"maybe if i train early?" i questioned.

i grabbed the lightsaber and turned it on, the beam of light shooting from the hilt, the heat blazing from the rod.

the doors slid open to my quarters, and in came anakin. he strode in to see me standing there holding my lightsaber, switched on that is, which was against the rules.

"give it here." he held out his hand, a blank expression on his face.

"i'm sorry." i handed it to him, slowly bowing my head. "i got carried away with all the talk obi wan has been giving me."

"understandable." he said again, seeming blunt and emotionless. i couldn't see the way he felt through his eyes, he was almost, emotionless.

"we have training very soon, i need to you to be ready. and i am fine." he hissed as he strode back out of the room, the door closing behind him.

he could read my thoughts? before i could reply he was already halfway down the hall.

*an hour later*
"i am happy to see you arrive early." anakin looked down at me, sweating and panting from previously training before i arrived.

"thank you for inviting me

"thank you for inviting me." i bowed, still feeling his gaze. the atmosphere between us was tense and fragile, making me tremble.

"why are you trembling?" he asked me, concerned. fuck, i completely forgot he could read my mind.

"shi- i mean oh my gosh i am so sorry i keep forgetting that you can read my mind." i tried to laugh off the situation, as my laugh began to fade, he threw off his jedi robe. my lightsaber in his hand.

"how about we ease the tension?" he brought my lightsaber up to my chin, and lifted up my head. teasing me and making my eyes widen.

little did i know, he was just acting the fool.

"aria, stop being so inappropriate." he shook his head and smiled cheekily, turning away, trying to conceal his grin. i keep forgetting about the whole 'reading my mind' situation.

"lay down on the floor." he said without hesitation.

i complied and lowered myself onto the floor.

"you are so easily manipulated aria, you need to change that." he sighed, "stand up." he said again, smiling.

i did as i was told, trying not to think of anything he could mind read. "maybe we start fighting?"

"maybe we focus on not giving into the enemy?" he said confidently. he's clearly enjoying this.

"i am certainly enjoying this, bossing you around." he mumbled, looking down at the floor.

"i'm enjoying this too." i stuttered, what the fuck did i just say?

"you like it when i tell you what to do?" anakin asked me, frowning, smiling a little.

"urm, yes?" i stuttered again, now completely flustered and overwhelmed by anakin's presence

"urm, yes?" i stuttered again, now completely flustered and overwhelmed by anakin's presence.

"really?" he came up to me, now inches away from my lips.

he hovered his fingers over my mouth, examining my features and stroking his other hand through my hair. goosebumps covered my body.

"you really are easy to manipulate." he bit his lower lip and grabbed my chin aggressively. "that is not going to help you in battle aria."

i nodded my head, "how stupid of me, once again i'm sorry, i'll use my lightsaber next time. if i have it that is." my sarcastic comment caused him to clench his jaw. it was making me feel powerful. "maybe give me the lightsaber and i can make it useful."

he frowned, inches from my face, anger in his eyes.

"the next time you want to talk to me in that manner, i expect you to give me something afterwards." he strode out of the room, sliding open the door and disappeared from my sight.

in that moment i wanted to see exactly how far he would go, but i wasn't willing to overstep the boundaries, just yet.
