the comlink sat in my hand as i searched the corridor for any troopers that may've heard me make a call.

"so who're you gonna call?" anakin whispered, clutching the bars of the cell.

"the only person that can sneak in and out of a separatist base - my brother, and i'll tell him to bring obi wan."

"you're sure about this? i can make some sort of distraction if that'll help."

"there's no need. i'll call them now."

the comlink started buzzing as i called din, and he picked up immediately, his panicked expression startling me.

"everything alright?"

"no. not quite."

"what's happened? is it anakin?"

ani frowned, dropping open his jaw in shock at din's remark. stepping back in offence.

"no. well not quite..."

"i'll kill him if you'd like."

(anakin):

"no din, i need your help with getting out of a seperatist base

"no din, i need your help with getting out of a seperatist base." i whispered, rolling my eyes.

his eyes widened, as he put his helmet on instantly.

"i'm on my way. send me the coordinates. need me to bring anything?"

"obi wan. and our lightsabers."

"consider it done."

the hologram of din disappeared but anakin's face was priceless.

"he really thinks i'd hurt you?" he whispered, his eyebrows furrowed in shock.

"he's just protective. it's fine." i smiled, sitting back down stretching out my arms. "now, we wait."

"i'm really looking forward to seeing him again." he sighed, laying back down, his agitated expression telling a thousand stories.

after about 15 minutes, the sounds of laser guns came from outside the corridors, followed by the switching on of a lightsaber, or two?

"another successful break in." din laughed, unlocking our cells with a blaster to the lock.

"thank you brother." i smiled, hugging him tightly, until he locked onto anakin who was standing proudly with his arms folded.

"you okay bud?" din mumbled, handing anakin his lightsaber.

the stubbornness of anakin had already gotten to him - so all he did was nod.

"you should thank din for helping us escape." i whispered to him, gently kicking his ankle.

"thank you din - it's greatly appreciated. you saved our lives."

"a little less sarcastic maybe?"
