The silence was impressive. Even the Falcon, usually so loud, was quiet. In the cockpit, Rey and Poe were observing the First Order's fleet flying in front of them. Battleships, Fighter Bombers, even the Finalizer, parading, didn't seem to notice the small Corellian Cargo, landed on an asteroid. BB8 rolled into the cockpit and let out a surprising wistle seeing all these ships. Wistle quickly muffled by the pilot who put his hand in front of the small droid's mic, adding a gesture telling him to stay quiet.
After what seemed to be forever, all the Resistants let out a relieved sigh, a sigh they didn't even notice they were holding.
"Honestly General, I didn't think it would work."
Dameron turned to face Leïa who had a mysterious smile on her face.
"It's an old tactic I used years ago..."
The pilot didn't get the reference but he nodded anyway before turning around and seeing Rey's face next to him.
"You okay?"
The young woman nodded slowly, her eyes still fixed on the First Order's ships, now too far away to be reached.
"Yes... I just felt a presence. I think it was Ben."
Poe prefered staying silent, his anger towards Leïa's son was still too important. The young Jedi should have felt his anger, staying also quiet. But it was BB8 who was the first to speak up.
"Yeah you're right Buddy. Let's see where we are and where we can go. This ship is very good and fast but we can't stay hidden here forever. And we'll need fuel and food."
Dameron pushed a button and studied the map. After their defeat on Crait, the First Order chased them far in the Outer Rim. Unfortunately, it ended up in a serious lack of possibilities to hide and rebuild the Resistance. Rey leaned over, pointing at a planet.
"There."
Following her indication, Leïa and Poe frowned.
"Utapau? Why?"
The young woman looked up at her friends and shrugged softly.
"It's logical. They think they have won so they're going back to the new Capital. They will need food and fuel too. But Utapau is not big enough to allow a fleet like this to land there."
But seeing the pilot's silence and the amused smile of the General, Rey tilted her head, intrigued.
"Did I say something wrong?"
"Not at all. But I see that Luke also taught you some geopolitics classes too during your stay on Ahch-To."
The young woman blushed slightly before turning towards the dashboard to enter Utapau's coordinates. On the copilot's seat, Poe was getting ready to make the Falcon fly again when he felt strong hands grabbing him by his jacket and pushed quite violently onto the back seat. Chewbacca then took his place next to the young Jedi who couldn't hold back a laugh.
"Alright, alright! You can fly, you fluffy damn thing!"
Chewie growled, making Poe and BB8 jumped. Pouting, the pilot shrugged before deciding to check on the wounded members of the Resistance. Or at least, those who were still there. Rose was still unconscious, but she seemed to be stabilized. He placed a hand on Finn's shoulder, who was still waiting next to the young woman.
"You okay man?"
The former Stormtrooper looked up at the pilot and nodded sadly before looking back at Rose.
"She really needs to see a doctor."
"Don't worry. We're going on Utapau, we should be able to find help there. At least a point to start again."
