- yes! you actually didn't know him, there were lots of people you don't know since you associate everyone as people you like, don't know or you just think are plain idiots therefore don't like them
- your biology partners were among all 3 categories, yes ofc they had to be: mark and the boy who calls himself haechan (when his real name is donghyuck)
- mark would try his best and you were thankful for that, but he'd try so hard that his braincells just won't make sense of what the teacher explained, you still helped try to understand it though
- haechan? oh, he refused to do the work and copied off of your work. he'll only do work when you're not there and he doesn't like copying off of mark because he's mark. his work was always half-assed too
- like he just thought 'i gotta do this, but i'm also tired of doing this now.'
- you were frustrated to say the least. after all you tried your hardest to do good, but you were cursed with such an unlucky fate with your groupmates
- but you forgave them anyway, since you guys would joke around the entire class period
- the only occasions you would get mad would be:
- when there was a test and they both tried to copy off your answers
- and when they both skip class together and you do all the work in a much boring fashion and it always happens to be on days where group projects are due
- "MARK AND HAECHAN LEE!" you scream at the end of the hallway as your friend yeji tries to stop you from embarrassing your friend group again
- "____! please not again! please we're all begging you!" yeji says as she says grabs onto your arm and you brush her off.
- you were extremely mad when group points were included, and since your group wasn't there, there was a extra deduction on your project
- you would've accepted it but, you're CONVINCED that your teacher hates you and your group and deducted the grade from an A to a C+
- you see the pair laughing and you immediately walk up to them and smack the backs of both of their heads
- then you grab their ears and start lecturing them..
- in the middle of the hallway...
- in front of everyone
- 'ow! ow! ow! ____' and 'you're hurting us!! ____' was heard but you didn't care
- "i specifically told you two to SHOW UP in class today and what did you both do?? YOU BOTH SKIPPED??? YOU BOTH KNEW WE WERE GOING TO HAVE A PROJECT AND YOU BOTH SKIPPED AGAIN-" and you let go of their ears and they look at you with hurt and also guilt, also rubbing their ears because ouchies! that hurt :(
- "i'm understanding of you guys, also getting credit for the work that i do. but, when your actions affect myself and my grade that is where i cross the line. i better see both of you in class tomorrow or else i will do something far worse than today-" and you leave both of them scared shitless.
- during lunch you're shooting death glares at both of them and they understand and you turn away from them and start talking to your friends about it.
- "who knew she could be so scary?" haechan says and mark nods in agreement, and the rest of the table is intrigued
- "who? the girl who DRAGGED the both of you during passing period? AHAHAHA!" jisung says while laughing and jaemin suddenly walks to the table, while haechan almost throws a punch at jisung
- "woah, something happened and jisung is laughing. what happened?" jaemin asks, and mark and haechan visibly shudder and explain
- "so our bio partner ____, she does all the work and stuff, and so she got mad at us because we skipped class again, and this time it affected her grade too and now mark and i are never skipping bio again."
- mark nods scared and he points at you, and jaemin looks your way and watches you run your hand through your hair in frustration, and suddenly the boy is drooling
- he's never even seen you before and he suddenly thinks you are the most beautiful person alive, even beating out some of your other classmates like tzuyu or shuhua
- which is definitely an accomplishment
- "nana! you should have been there! oh it was so funny she grabbed both mark and haechan's ears and- AHAHAHAHA" jisung says while laughing, pounding his fist on the table
- chenle and jeno roll their eyes, as chenle focuses in on his game and jeno continues eating while looking at his phone
- anyways, jaemin is staring at you and everyone else continues with their conversation not paying a heap of attention to jaemin
- meanwhile, you feel a pair of eyes boring into you and you scan the room and find jaemin's eyes staring straight at you
- as you both lock eyes for a couple of seconds, he smirks and you get confused and look away
- you shift uncomfortably and you continue talking to your friends ryujin and chaeryeong
- "anyways thats why i meant all men are really trash." you say and smile and you three all laugh together at the whole explanation and suddenly you feel even better than before
- "i think i'm in love." jaemin says blatantly as the rest of the group halts all conversations and listens to jaemin
- "the school bachelor is in love???? with who??" chenle asks, mouth gaping wide open
- "____." and they all laugh as jaemin smiles, a genuine smile, meaning it with every feeling he feels for you
- "jaemin! you can't be serious! AHAHAHA" he waits for the laughter to die down and explains
- "i looked at her and i fell in love. like the stuff that happens in movies, all that cliche stuff."
- everyone suddenly stops laughing and realizes he's serious
- they then formed a group huddle, perfectly in formation (excluding jaemin of course)
- "so, what are we gonna do with him"
- "i don't know, maybe? HELP HIM?! you dimwit mark no wonder ____ is the brains in our bio group."
- "guys he had a love at first sight moment, how do we help with that?"
- they all look up to see jaemin staring at you once again, biting his lip in hopes of getting your attention again
- he doesn't catch your attention anymore and you continue talking and laughing with your friends
- as lunch rolls to an end, you walk away from your table as jaemin stares at you from across the room
- which is what he continues to do for the next 2 weeks..
- 2 weeks of non-stop staring at you and admiring every feature you have, from your hair to the amazing smile you had, he would not stop looking at you
- you suddenly became a thought in his head, that he would think about non-stop

- he'd remember the way you smiled and laughed, the picture of your favorite tv show character that you'd only show to your friends, the way you tilted your head like a confused puppy

- but he never caught your attention,,,
- jaemin was used to being the center of attention, but now he doesn't even get any of that from you, the one person he actually wants attention from
- it was biology class once again, and you were back with your favorite two idiots
- "oh! ____, would like to come on a movie night with us? its our treat since we really felt bad about the other day :(" mark says and since they both look genuinely sad, you accepted
- what you did not accept was that these two invited you to a movie night with 5 other guys
- "you both did not tell me i was going to be crashing a guy's night???" you deadpan at them and they both shrug
- "everyone please gather!!" you're still by the front door and you have a chance to break away from the house but haechan catches you looking towards the door and so he mouths 'stay.' and you frown
- "everyone this is ____!" mark says as he hugs you closer and you awkwardly smile at the boys, one catching your eye in particular
- mark urges the boys to introduce themselves and they do.
- "im renjun!" and then "jeno." and "i'm jisung!" and the last boy introduces himself smiling "i'm jaemin." then winking and you laugh a little at his flirting
- "where's chenle?" mark asks and your ears perk up at the name, zhong chenle??
- the boy comes out of the bathroom drying his hands and you immediately attach yourself to the boy
- "lele!!!!" you scream and he goes wide eyed and is actually shocked that you were even here..
- "____? what are you doing here?" and you tell him how mark and haechan invited you and he pieces it all together
- "ohhh so that was you who nagged at these two.. no wonder it sounded so much like you when they were talking-" and mark nervously laughs motioning for him to shut his mouth and mouth that you'll talk to him about it later
- "how do you know chenle?? last time i checked he is a stiff board around other girls??" jisung asks and you laugh
- "i know! but lele is my neighbor! we've lived by each other ever since he moved from china!" you smile literally not unlinking your arm off the boy's arm and he doesn't mind after all you were always unusually clingy with him so he just got used to it
- mark and haechan are in pure shock because they have never ever seen you so clingy to someone.. and all jaemin can do is just stare at how touchy you are with the younger and he suddenly gets pouty
- chenle takes the hint and asks you to not cling onto him and you pout and nod your head like a sad puppy and jaemin feels his heart tighten at the sight
