Stacey was in a coma for at least a week now, and Linda had become a lot better since she was sick, so the lead singer for The Rogues was back and Stacey was now their backup singer.
"The singing part of her bucket list was never going to happen, and she wanted to be sure that she had at least one gig before she died, however that didn't happen." Clara lectured.
Raymond sighed and kissed Stacey on her forehead. "You know, Clara, I want to know where her soul is, right now. Probably in heaven or in some part of it somehow.'' Raymond said, looking up at the sky.
"The sun is hovering behind the clouds again." Addison said ,drinking her coffee.
"That's how I feel." Raymond wondered around the room, completely focused on Stacey and the monitor. At least she was alive... for now.
"They say every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings." Raymond said, smiling. "It's A Wonderful Life is Stacey's favourite old movie. We watched it a few times this month, and I know it isn't Christmas ,however, it just seemed right."
'She'll never make it until Christmas, Raymond. You know that." Addison stated. "She's a vegetable right now." Addison added.
"I know, Addison, however I' d like to be an optimist." Raymond said, trying to look on the bright side of this situation. Stacey didn't move an inch. "Why wouldn't you let Stacey sing before?'' Clara whispered, to Raymond as he was pacing around the room.
"Okay, Clara, enough." Addison said, as she drank the last of her coffee.
''Why wouldn't you spend more time with her?'' Clara wanted to know.
"Brenda and I were spending time together at the time, however I didn't know Brenda would be such a witch." Raymond defended himself. "And Stacey and I are spending time together. I've brought her carnations, and a mixed CD of all her favourite songs. I've spent time with her, okay?'' He finished, staring at the monitor.
"Okay ,you've made it quite obvious you care for her, so I won't go on about it anymore." Clara said calmly, trying to make an aggravated Raymond see the light.
"You and I agree on one thing, Clara: the well being of Stacey. However, other than that, we're completely different." Raymond explained, trying to get the matter solved.
"In a matter of opinions about sports, coffee, politics, equal rights, school, work ,whatever- you and I- will never agree." Raymond added.
"Speaking of sports..." Clara started to say, however seeing the look on Raymond's face, she rolled her eyes and clamped her mouth shut.
"At least we agree to disagree, '' she muttered bitterly as she walked out of the door into the waiting room.
"Whatever." Raymond hissed after her, as he stood beside Stacey's beside and sighed.
"You and Clara are so different." Raymond whispered to Stacey, trying to hold her clammy, cold hands.
"And now my girlfriend's in a coma." He whispered, trying to be strong...
