 A Few Months Earlier-APRIL 2020...

Stacey and Raymond were standing in the park, near a row of benches, when Raymond gave her a locket with an S engraved on it.

Stacey smiled and took the gold locket, glistening in the dark, treasuring it forever.  Then all of a sudden it started to thunder and lightening, a huge storm was blowing in the wind, a huge monsoon had brought flooding to the Eastern Coast.

"No amount of lightening could chase away what I feel for you, Stacey O'Neill." Raymond Glass said. "I mean that." Raymond added, bringing her to his house, standing on the front lawn.

"Look, it's beautiful, isn't it?'' They watched as the scenic view was washed in the rain and then everything went dark...

PRESENT DAY- JULY 2020

Raymond woke up...realizing it was all a dream...

Raymond sighed, knowing the locket was still around Stacey's neck...in the hospital.

It was summer at least, and he'd skipped the junior dance and nothing could make him feel better.

Stacey and her parents were at the hospital, waiting for her to wake up. She was in a coma, after all.

"Well, there's something you don't see everyday." Raymond whispered to himself, a cloud passing by had a huge stream of sunlight coming out of it.

"What, dear?'' Mr. Glass said, walking down to the table downstairs.

  "Nothing, dad." Raymond said, quickly.

"Could you pass the toast, someone?'' Raymond replied.

"Desperate, are we?'' His mother said.

"I'm just not that hungry..." Raymond trailed off.

  "Stacey, sweetheart?'' Mrs. Glass  said.

"Yeah, I'm just nervous she'll never wake up again." Raymond added.

"Let's go, to the hospital." Mr. Glass said.

"Sure, however, we won't see a difference." Raymond said ,shaking his head, losing all hope and faith in her situation.

"Raymond, she will be okay, however, if she's not, she'll be in Heaven." Mrs. Glass explained.

--------------------

"Remember, visiting hours are almost over." the nurse explained again, for the millionth time.

Raymond sighed and shook his head. "So, Stacey may never wake up." He said, waiting to be depressed once more.

"Probably not." The nurse said. "We may have to take her off life support."

"No..." Raymond whispered, taking Stacey's hand. "Your my only hope for a miracle."

"Wake up, Stacey." Raymond said ,taking her other hand.

"Young man, time's up. Visiting hours are over." The nurse said, taking his hands away from hers.

"Sometimes I wish the nurse wasn't so serious." Raymond whispered, glaring at her.

Stacey was laying there in the dark, and they left, while Stacey was lifeless, white like a ghost.

Stacey and Raymond were able to spend at least a year together, as junior year was the best year of his life...
