Wrapping your arms around a handsome man is worthwhile unless you know that there is hope that you two can be together in the future. That one perfect kiss. True love. Light and love, fire and sometimes intimacy. You should know the difference between the two by now: love and intimacy. His name was Richard Samuelson, the brooding, tall, athletic dark bad boy who every girl in the school WANTED. They would sketch his picture in art class, write his name on the thin notebooks in class, and they would offer to drive him home or have them drive in his car. He owned an expensive Ferrari. Yeah, no joke. He got it for a sixteenth birthday present. So frigging amazing. His ex-girlfriend, the gorgeous, fashion-forward and always perfect, Brenda Hampshire was like a model this school had never seen before. That asshole with her three wannabes and her two boyfriends. Yes, two timer. No surprise. So, anyway, the three go up to my best friend's locker, push her to the side, and steal her lunch money. How could a junior have a chance against a senior? A 12th grader? She was no better than the deadbeats who smoked and inhaled drugs behind the bleachers.
Anyway, Perks of Being a Wallflower was on, and Stacey didn't want to miss the movie.
Don't even remind me about the 12 pages of homework I've got. Anyway, she couldn't help envisioning that one sporadic kiss, the truly amazing once-in-a-lifetime kiss. That one rush, that one perfect story that would have a fairytale ending. Stacey was determined to find her true love as her last flame had been a bitter disappointment. However, there was a light at the end of the tunnel somewhere. She had just finished watching The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and she'd related to the tunnel scene just like Charlie had. Based on that story, she'd watched it since the prom was announced not just two weeks ago. Well, anyway, there was no way she'd let Brenda win. Not this time. That bitch could have whoever else she wanted, however, she'd not let her win over her this time.
The light at the end of the tunnel is what keeps you going. That positive attitude, that optimistic vibe that you have with courage of conviction, strong sense of self and more. This vision may be lame, however, the most famous person may not even know that. You don't have to change to be a certain way just to fit in and be cool, or do something stupid. You should have a clue by this age, by the time you're a teenager to know right from wrong. Come on. Do you really have to be cool to fit in? Especially with the "cool group" and the peer pressures of high school? No, you don't. If someone doesn't accept you for who you are, they're not your real friends.
Stacey knew that Brenda may have been the most classy day in school, however, she would not get what she didn't deserve. Brenda is the most snobby bitch you will ever meet, and I'm not talking about her being a slut either. Okay, so she's got all the designer clothes and is yearbook editor and cheerleading captain. However, she is not under any circumstances the brightest girl in school, though she does major in Science and English. I am not talking about her Mercedes Benz and her three wannabe friends. She thinks she'll marry Orlando Bloom someday. Delusional, yes. Cunning, absolutely. Decent, do not stop at go and go straight to freaky. Yes, she is the most richest girl in school too, however money can't buy you happiness. No, because what is inside is what counts better than all the designer clothes and money in the world.
His name is Raymond Glass and he is what every girl wants. Avery Smith said he once created his own chocolate fountain. His parents bought him a Mercedes Benz for his birthday. Okay, so that's one thing Brenda has in common with him. However, they couldn't be more different. Hope Sanchez said he also has tons of baseball cards, including the legendary Babe Ruth. He collects jerseys of all different kinds of sports and he is an awesome artist. Lance Crane said he also has been known to drive to Tennessee for the summer because he has a ranch. So, he's really into horses and ponies. Okay, he's an animal lover and he's got many friends. Brenda and her three wannabes were just outside the classroom entrance. Math was so boring at times, however geometry is not too bad. How anyone could linger in the doorway of a classroom seeming so desperate for a boy's attention? How ridiculous. Selfish as always, Brenda began applying her makeup and fixing her hair. Pulling out her mascara and mirror, she began applying a darker black colour and fixed her lipstick from cherry red to pink. Raymond was approaching the classroom and Brenda stepped in his way.
"Hello, Raymond. How are you?" Brenda asked, pretending to be totally innocent. She's such a drama queen. She's not even English like she pretends to be, she's really from France. Brenda is an exchange student from France, sometimes people say she's from Mars.
"Her lack of respect for other people sickens me." Clara whispered to Stacey, as they both rolled their eyes and started down the hallway. What kind of moron even bought her innocent act? She's such a hypocrite which she will never admit. Thankfully, it was almost the end of junior year and the prom was less than two weeks away. Prom is such a special time of year, just because it's usually when you get to dress up and spend time with your friends and dance. The yearbook would be out soon and they're was talk of Brenda putting herself on the front cover. Are you serious? She's already been the social event of the whole year. She's such a drama queen. She thinks she's a star just because she's a triple threat and the star of the school play. She's so dumb. Anyways, enough about Brenda. Next year, what would happen? Would there be someone new to fix what the last three years have brought? How would prom end?
Wait and see in the next chapter...
