Chapter 5 : Talking to the Moon Goddess

Xavier POV

"What does she mean 'he's coming'?" I asked Ryder worriedly. His face visibly paled. Well, that can't be good.

"I think we should wait until she wakes up. We should tell you a bunch of things before you guys mate." he told me. I smirked. Him saying that just means he is okay with me mating with his sister. He just scowled at me. I heard a groan. Ryder and I looked at Katy only to see her waking up.

Katy POV

I woke up. I was lying in a meadow with flowers. I stood up. I started walking around. I went into a house near a pond. I knew the moon goddess was going to be in there. I walked through. I saw the moon goddess talking to some people.

"Hello Moon Goddess." I greeted. She turned to me. I got a good look at the two people she was talking to.

"Mom! Dad!" I shouted. I ran over to them and hugged them. They hugged me back. They had tears in their eyes. "What are you doing here?" I asked them.

"We need to talk about some things." My mom told me. The moon goddess and my dad nodded in agreement. We all sat down on the couch.

"There is someone who is after you. You have powers. You received your powers when you find your mate. And you already found your mate. So you have powers. You can teleport and you can control nature. Also, your brother will also get a power when he meets his mate." The moon goddess told me. That would be so cool.

"Who is after me?" I asked. That was a scary thought. I could die before I've even lived.

"I don't know exactly who. But he is a rogue alpha. You must be careful. You must also tell your mate and your brother. If anything unusual happens, tell them." the Moon Goddess said. I nodded.

"Do I know how to control my powers?" I asked.

"No. That is why we are going to practice now." My mom said. I just nodded. We went outside to the meadow. We spent about two hours practicing my powers and I finally got the hang of it.

"Good bye. You need to go now." The moon goddess said.

"Bye mom and dad. I'll miss you. Good bye moon goddess." I said with tears. I hugged my mom and dad really tight. Then I hugged the Moon Goddess.

"We'll see again soon." My mom said.

I woke up. I groaned. My head hurt like hell. I looked around. I saw Ryder and Xavier sitting in a chair next to my bed. They both looked up at me.

"Are you okay Kate?" Xavier asked with worry. I just nodded.

"We need to talk about some things." I said to both of them. They just nodded. I'm glad they get along with each other.

"As you know Xavier, me and my brother are cat shifters." I said to him. He just nodded. "Our parents died. I sometimes get talks with the Moon Goddess about upcoming events. She is the one who told us to move here."

"What happened when you were knocked out?" Ryder asked.

"I have powers. I can teleport and can control nature. She said I would recieve my powers when I met my mate and I did meet my mate. She also said there was someone after me. A rogue alpha. I also saw mom and dad. They said you would get a power when you meet and they will help you. You would faint and they would talk to you that way." I said. They both looked like they thinking. Suddenly Xavier growled.

"He will not get you. You will always be protected by me." Xavier said. He pulled me onto his lap and nuzzled my neck.

"I agree." My brother said. "You will have both of us to protect you."

"Thank you guys." I thank them. I was grateful for having a wonder mate and brother. My brother joined Xavier and I on the bed and we group hugged. I don't want them to get injured because of me though.

"We should go. Everyone else left while you were unconscious." Ryder said. I nodded. Xavier and Ryder left while I stood up to pack. I already knew Xavier was a werewolf. I knew he was an alpha. But was I ready to be a luna? I don't think so. What if I'm not good enough. Plus, since someone wants my power, they could all get hurt.

I packed everything into my suitcase. We all met downstairs. Xavier walked to a car and got in. Ryder and I got into another car. We waved goodbye and went seperate ways. Xavier's car was right behind us.

"What if he was that lady's son next door? That would be a huge coincidence." I told Ryder.

"It totally would be. But it probably won't be." He chuckled and said.

"Ya he will be the boy next door. I'll bet you 50 bucks." I bet him.

"Ok. Just know you are going to lose." He said. I just shook my head and he just chuckled. He kept driving.

"Ryder look out!" I shouted. He swerved the car but it hit a tree. My head hit the door pretty hard and I blacked out.
