Chapter 2: Roasting Marshmallows

Kate POV

My virgin eyes were scarred. I have never seen something this scary before. Abby and Mathew were making out heavily. Abby was sitting on the counter without a top and Mathew had his shirt and pants off. They both turned to me when they heard my shriek. Abby quickly jumped off and put her shirt on. Mathew just put his pants on. They both blushed. I laughed. I heard Ryder laughing too. He must have come in when he heard me shriek. Abby just blushed harder and Mathew wrapped his arm around her and walked her to the living room.

We all sat on the couch. Well, Mathew and Abby sat on one couch and Ryder and I sat on another couch. Ryder and I were still chuckling. I was still kind of in shock. I mean, it's not everyday that you see a couple half naked. Abby, Kayla, and I were used to seeing the guys shirtless. That was something I didn't need to see. Midnight said. She was kind of freaked out right now. Haha Midnight. I laughed in my head.

I snapped out of my conversation with Midnight when someone snapped their fingers in front of my face. I looked at the person and saw Kayla there with a huge smile.

"Hey hun." she said. I laughed. She called me "hun" and she called Abby "sweetie."

"Hey Kayla." I responded.

"Do you guys want to go swimming now? We can swim in the pond?" Mathew asked us. He had his arm wrapped around Abby. I think they made a cute couple. They were the perfect match. I hope I'm a perfect match with my mate. We'll be a no bass couple. My mate and I against the world.

"Sure. Let's go. Are you coming Ryder?" I asked him. Everyone left to go change to their bathing suits.

"No. Im going to stay here and wait for my friend. He said he was going to meet me here. You go along. I'll meet you guys there when he comes." he said waving me off. He always liked me having fun. I think he always put my life before his. I think that is unfair. I don't put his life before mines so he shouldn't do that. But he does it anyways even if I try to talk to him about having fun.

"Ok Ryder. I'll catch you later then. Bye for now." I hugged him and went to my room to change into my swim suit. It was a bikini that was black with white polka dots that was strapless. It did however show a fair amount of cleavage. You just tied it in the back. My bottom was the same. It was black with white polka dots. I put on jean shorts and a sheer beach top over. I slipped my black flip flops on. I walked downstairs. Kayla was wearing a halter top bikini. It was dark blue and her bottom had a small frilly skirt attached to it. She was wearing a sheer beach tank top. She was wearing aqua flip flops with shells on them. Abby was wearing a one piece that fit snuggly around her body. There was a round hole on each side showing her curves. It had a spagehtti strap on one side and was strapless on the other side. She was wearing her towel on her lower body. She had on matching blue flip flops with Mathew. Mathew was wearing green swimming trunks with palm trees on them.

"Be careful guys. Especially you Kate." Ryder said. He had a sandwich in his hand and he was shirtless. He can eat a lot without getting any fat. But so can I. I guess we're just blessed. Like that lyric from Nicki Minaj. No I'm not lucky I'm blessed.

"Will do brother. Come join us when your friend comes." I told him. He used to love swimming. That was until our parents died. I got over it. That doesn't mean I don't miss them or love them anymore. I do. It just doesn't affect me as much. Ryder was older and he knew them longer than me. I hugged Ryder.

I had my towel on the dock. I was suntanning. Kayla was next to me suntanning too. Mathew and Abby were swimming. More like making out underwater. I have never kissed someone underwater. I think that's just weird. I actually had only one boyfriend before. That was Mathew. We lasted for a day. Then we decided that we should just be friends.
