(2) Starry night

Jungkook's POV

Even in the velvet dark there is the light of the stars, perhaps a promise that even when we yearn for the light of the sun there will be those stars to bring hope of the dawn. It is always the light we crave for without it what is our world?

Would we become creatures of the night forever to scuttle and hide from predators imagined or real? Either way we seek the light, the chance to stand up and be strong, to see beauty and be beautiful. For the ability to see others and ourselves, to see nature and the stunning variation is a great gift to each and every one.

In every direction there is a star, should I fly into the universe any way would be the right way. I tilt my head, gazing upward from the cozy balcony that we have in the bedroom, eyes more open than they can be in the fullness of day, not looking at one star, yet somehow seeing them all at once.

I felt two arms around my waist as my back came in contact with his chest and a kiss being placed on my nape. I caressed both of his arms that were wrapped around me.

"Is Soo asleep already?" I asked softly not wanting to interrupt the calmness around us.

"Yes, he slept in between the story telling" He chuckled.

"How was your tour?" I turned around and leaned my back on the glass railing at the edge of the balcony.

He held my waist securely and placed a kiss on my forehead. My hands made their way to my hubby's chest, caressing it softly.

"It was good" He smiled.

"Did you talked to Joon hyungie baby?" He asked and I nod my head.

"They both will be here tomorrow as well as Jimin hyung, Hoseok hyung and Meow hyung" I informed.

We're having a get together as Taehyungie and Meow hyung came back from their tour. This is all time thing, everytime they both come back from tour we have a get together at our house. It's kind of a ritual for us.

"Jin hyungie was telling me that both of them are gonna start looking for adoptions. They're ready for a baby according to Joon hyungie" I said and smiled as I remembered my conversation with the duo, they both are so happy for finally having a baby.

"Finally hyungies are ready, huh?" He exclaimed and smiled widely flashing his signature boxy smile.

My heart still skips a beat when I see his smile. But I noticed how his smile faded slowly.

"What's wrong?" I asked worried.

"Nothing love" He replied but sighed when I gave him a 'really' look. He knows he can't hide it from me.

"I wish mom dad would accept you and Soo as well. I'm just too scared to tell them you know" He sighed sadly.

"It's okay hubby. Everything will be alright. We'll tell them once we're ready. Don't worry" I hugged him and placed my head on his chest. He hummed and hugged back, placing his chin on top of my head.

"I missed you" I mumbled with a pout.

"I missed you more" He kissed my head.

His hug is stronger than anything I've ever known, as if holding me wasn't quite enough, he has to feel every ounce that I am press into every ounce that is him. In that moment of feeling him so close I am awake somehow, more alive than I have been in so very long.

For there are times I am as a butterfly who yearns for the cocoon, to be safe within walls, protected. That's what I feel. It helps. So if it would be okay, if it's what he wants too, wrap those arms around me every chance the universe is kind enough to bring. For in this world, this is our gold, our food and pure rain. It is the love that makes everything else possible.

"Let's cuddle" He said and dragged me to the bed.

"Your arms wrapped right around me bring a peace I've never known before, a calming of the storms in my heart. I think it's you that gives me hope for the future. In your embrace I start to believe that there is nothing out there to fear, that all there is is sunshine, beautiful trees and kind people, friends to be. Your cuddles are the only medicine I need, they are the light in the darkness, a lone star in an otherwise empty sky" Taehyungie confessed as we were now cuddling, snuggled and engulfed in each other's arm.

I look upto him and pulled him into a sweet kiss, he kissed back immediately. In that kiss was the sweetness of passion, a million loving thoughts condensed into a moment. His kisses are a feel of being home. As if it is the promise of years and the sweetness of our love. In that moment of the kiss we are in each others protective cocoon.

"I love you" I said as we pulled away.

"I love you more" He bopped my nose making me smiled widely.

In the darkness our cuddles feels like a little touch of heaven, warm, together, cozy. I wish I could extend the night just so I could stay close to him for longer, safe in your embrace.
