(33) Relieved

Third Person's POV

Taehyung rushed to where Namjoon had asked him to come with Jungkook and Soo. Taehyung knew why but the mother-son were still kept oblivious and Jungkook was now pretty anxious about it.

Anxious is normal when there is something important on the line. It's okay to feel it. All emotions are there to educate the prerson. What is not normal is for that feeling to be there all the time. Some emotions are supposed to be short term guests, others are welcome to stay for the long term and maybe just maybe Jungkook wouldn't be that anxious after knowing the reasons behind the call.

Masking fear can be good or bad. It's all situational, right? If you defend yourself or others it's good, if you cut yourself off from yourself or others, deny your vulnerable self the chance to breathe and cry, then it's bad. That's self wisdom, that's emotional intelligence.

When the trio reached their destination, Jungkook looked at Taehyung with questionable eyes as if saying 'What was going on?' and Taehyung probably understood it as he said,

"Just trust me please. It's nothing bad, I promise"

Jungkook immediately nod his head, no doubt he trusted his husband with everything. So if Taehyung said it's nothing bad then he will trust him and go with his husband wherever he would take him.

Taehyung was the first to get out of the car. He went to Jungkook's side and opened the door for him, the younger had their little baby on his lap, sleeping. The elder took Soo in his arms and Jungkook got out. Taehyung carried Soo in his arms securely holding the little baby close as the little one slept through. Jungkook walked beside his husband as the entered the police headquarters.

As they entered they easily spotted the seven familiar faces, Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, Kim Jaewon and Ryujin. They knew what was going on, everyone except for Jungkook and Soo of course. Taehyung and Jungkook made their way to them as Yoongi was fast enough to take Soo from Taehyung.

The little baby whined a little but thankfully didn't wake up because if he would have, he would be whiny and pouty throughout. It was better for them to let Soo sleep a little more before they can wake him up.

"What's going on?" Jungkook asked looking at everyone.

"Where is she?" Taehyung asked ignoring Jungkook's question for now.

"She is being interrogated" Mr. Kim answered with a sigh.

"Dad, are you okay?" Taehyung asked.

"Yeah, of course. Don't worry" Mr. Kim replied with a smile and ruffled his son's hair.

"Hubby?" Jungkook called softly, looking at him with curious eyes.

"Mom has been arrested love. Ryujin and Dad filled a complaint against her about Ryujin's Dad. We all are here to give our statements. I am sorry for not telling you before" Taehyung explained.

"I-It's okay hubby" Jungkook replied, taking his time to get the new information to sink in.

The statements were made, all against Mrs. Kim which resulted in her crimes getting confirmed. She killed his brother and now it was time to pay for it. Ryujin finally got justice for his dad, Taehyung finally got justice for his lost childhood. The tension went, the relief began, he will now carry on as normal, only somewhat happier than before.

It was now time to wake Soo up, Jungkook sat beside Yoongi and shook his little baby and called him softly,

"Soo, wake up baby"

Soo stirred a little bit as he slowly blinked his eyes before opening them. He looked at his Mumma and pouted,

"Mumma~" He clung onto his mumma and Jungkook gladly took him in his arms.

"Get up baby, Dada has someone he wants you to meet" Jungkook said caressing Soo's hair.

"Who?" Soo looked at his mumma and that's when he noticed the new surrounding and all the familiar faces.

"Grand-Dada, chu came back" Soo giggled as he saw his grandfather.

"Soo, come here baby" Taehyung called because right now something was more important than this reunion.

The little baby got up and waddled to his Dada. Taehyung picked him up in his arms, Jungkook was behind them. The elder signaled a police officer to show them the way.

They reached the prison cell where Mrs. Kim was for the time being. They didn't open the cell gate though because it wasn't going to be safe. It's better to maintain a distance from her now.

"Soo, this is Kim Seromi. My mother, your grandmother" Taehyung introduced.

"My Grand-mumma?" Soo asked looking up at his Dada then at his mumma.

Jungkook nod his head and asked Taehyung to put him down. As soon as Soo was standing on his feet, he bowed down in front of his grandmother, greeting her. Taehyung smiled at the little baby but soon clenched his jaw when he heard his mother scoff.

Some are free and never leave a space that is toxic, for many whom are imprisoned are the innocent yet she wasn't and the scoff was enough to prove that. Say whatever you want, she's ego blind. It's a thing. They can only decode what suits their own primitive sense of self worth, everything else flies over their heads. 

Taehyung just wanted his son to know that he had a grandmother who wasn't good, she was evil. It's better to let the truth out in the light than postponing it for the future.

"Welcome to your prison cell. You were asked to love. You were asked to remain meek. You were asked to protect the weak and be chivalrous. What you did was hunt with the glee of a demon pack. So, take a look around you. If you can't see the walls closing in, you soon will. Hope to never see you again" That was all Taehyung said before picking Soo up and walking out of there with Jungkook.

Taehyung was now relieved and feeling relieved is a wonderful part of happiness, to feel that his struggles mattered.
