I lay there not caring whether I die not I don't. Not caring whether there'd be an animal to kill me, whether a serial killer comes across my body. I love just how my life fell apart in just a few hours. Lighting is all I see, thunder is all I hear. Darkness consumes me, to think I layed here for hours. The noises had stopped, felt as if someone was watching me.
I sat up and looked around, I saw a dark shadow. Since I'm the person I am, I sat there and stared at the dark figure. The dark figure moved closer, slowly I could see the object the figure was holding. It was an arrow, covered in blood. The dark figure was dressed in black jeans along with a black hoodie.
I don't move from my spot, I don't want to move.
You're going to die run
He walks towards me and stops, the figure sits infront of me, I just stare. " Hey." He greets. "Hi." I greet back. " Why are you out here by yourself?" Staring blankly. "I like being here, could ask you the same." He pulls of his hoodie.
His face is so defined, his eye's are green with yellow flakes. His jawline, could cut my finger. His lips, looked smooth with a middle lip piercing like mine but his is black. His neck, inked with tattoos. His hair, gelled back, jet black with frosted tips. He seems obsessed with black.
"You know there are dangerous people out here right?" He smirks. "People like you?" I question. " Yeah people like me, why didn't you run away?" He asks confusion written all over his face. "Well I noticed the arrow in your hand, I didn't run because I wanted to die, thought you were gonna do a quick job but here you are sitting infront of me talking, so we're both somewhat in shock." I state. "Y-your not scared of me?" He stutters. " Yeah, I thought you'd kill me but you didn't so here we are." I giggle. " You're weird, it's kind of funny." He smirks. "Well I'm sitting here with a dangerous...." I trail off wondering if he'd tell me. " Ryder Smith" he stated at me. " Well Ryder Smith, I'm Zoey Adams." I smile at him wasn't really that genuine.
"Nice to meet you, Zoey Adams." He stretches out his hand. " Likewise" I stretch out mine and shakes his hand. " I have to hide people are looking for me." We hear people yelling and people screaming. " Come with me." " I don't want you to get into this please." " It's better than my life I assure you, come on let's go."
We get up in a hurry, we bolt passed the trees. Hearing the leaves crunch under my feet, the air blowing in my hair. Ryder trailing behind me, the smile on his face as he's enjoying the adrenaline rush. I can help but smile myself. Ducking branches, jumping over rocks, running in puddles hearing the water splash under our feet. Crossing the streets as we make it to my house, luckily there's no one here. We run in and lock the door.
The house is filled with our laughter. "We'll never have I ever imagine running away with a criminal." " Never have I ever imagine being rescued by a beautiful girl, thanks for that by the way." He smiles at me. " Anytime, your welcome here, I live alone so whenever you need to hide I'm your gal." I smile back.
We take a seat on the couch, and turn on the TV. "Don't you want to change out if those blood soaked clothes." " I think I should, do you have any black clothes?" He asks. " I think my brother's closet does, I'll check for you." My brother's dead too by the way, car accident. I don't want to talk about it.
I walk up the stairs into the guest room. I stared at the bed my brother used to sleep in, I dreaded coming into this room. I look through his closet, I find his black sweater and sweatpants. I place them on the bed, just staring at the pillow a year slips from my eyes. I hear someone clear they're throat by the door, I quickly wipe away the year and look at the person at the door. " Umm here are the clothes the towels are in the bathroom, underwear in the drawer, I'll leave come down when your done, yeah." I walk out of the room and run to mine, shutting the door behind me.
