True Love

The Wedding

Time Skip to the Wedding----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Piper, Hazel, Reyna and Thalia come walking into the Athena cabin. 

As I turn to them, I smile. They all look absolutely stunning. Piper's hair was pulled up into a half-up half-down (she was the daughter of Aphrodite for gods' sake), Hazel let her hair down, which showed her curls, and Reyna's hair was put in a french braid. Thalia had her normal pixie cut but she had beads in her hair which Piper probably put in. They all decided to wear a floor length gray dress, with a v neck for my wedding. 

"Annabeth, you look beautiful!" 

"Thanks." I said. "You all look great too. Thanks for agreeing to be my bridesmaids."

"Are you kidding? We would've been your bridesmaids even if you didn't ask us." Reyna said.

Piper was on the very edge of crying, while both Hazel and Reyna were smiling like crazy.  

I turn to the mirror, looking at the reflection of myself. I'll admit, I felt pretty, but I also didn't feel like me. My dress was a white A-Line , with a v-neck and decorated with lace. My hair was pulled into a textured low pony. I had veil in my hair, which trailed back from the floor for about 3 feet.

It definitely helped when you were friend with the person who's mom was the goddess of love. 

I think of what happens after today. I've reached the impossible. I'm a demigod past the age of 21 who has a chance at a normal life. Everything felt so surreal, like none of it was really true. Like it was all just a dream and I would wake up soon. I turn back to them.

"Am I sure about this?" I started to breathe a little faster.

They look at me in shock, before they all clamor to my side. 

"Annabeth why? You are about to marry a man who you love, and who loves you to death." Hazel exclaimed.

"I know, and I don't doubt my decision to marry Percy. But anything can go wrong. Hazel, we're not meant to live past 21. What if a monster attack happens. What if Percy says no?" 

"Annabeth, nothing of that sort will happ-"

"What if Hera curses me during the ceremony? What if Rachel spits out another prophecy? What if Leo combusts into flames? WHAT IF THERE IS A SPIDER IN THE AILSE!?"

The girls all smile.

"Annabeth, what you have it completely normal. You are about to going over a milestone. Marriage is a big deal, but you have. nothing to worry about. Percy is an amazing guy. His fatal flaw is loyalty for Hades sake! He loves you and you love him. You guys are an amazing couple and no one can change that. Now go to the beach and marry him, like you've been planning on doing for like a month."

I smile and nod. Piper, Hazel, Reyna, Thalia go ahead of me.  I watch them walk out of my sight and take a deep breath. I was ready, after today, I would be the happiest woman in the world. As I make my way to the beach, the wedding brought tears to my eyes. Of course, Percy and I had selected everything carefully but to see it all together, it just took my breath away. I watch Estelle give me a wide smile before running down the aisle in her adorable dress throwing flowers. 

When I reach the start of the aisle, I take Chiron's hand as he leads me down it. I see people from the Aphrodite cabin squealing. The gods all came, including Hera, which wasn't my idea, but would've been rude to not invite her, especially considering she is the goddess of marriage. The gods all smile, Aphrodite is practically jumping off her seat in excitement, and I see Hera, her face showing clear hatred. Guess it wasn't her top priority to come to this wedding either. I look back to see Zeus glaring daggers and his wife, "must have forced her to come" I thought.  I look around to see practically everyone in Camp Half Blood. Even Clarisse was there.

 I continue scanning the crowd, not relaxing until I see him. I focus on the sea green eyes that haven't changed since I was twelve. As I make my way through the aisle, Percy looks at me, completely starstruck, his mouth opened a little bit . As I look closely, I can see his eyes starting to tear up and our smiles match. Before I know it, I reach the end of the aisle.

"Ready Seaweed Brain?"

"Yeah, but just in case, don't I get a kiss for good luck?"

I laughed slightly and looked behind him. There was a long line of boys behind Percy; Grover, Tyson, Jason, Leo, Frank, Nico, Will. He might've gone a little overboard with his groomsmen but they were all very important to us. Eventually Hera asks us to say our vows. (We all love this couple but I'm going to spare you the cheesiness). Once we finish our vows, Percy and I exchange rings. On his finger, would be a silver ring, decorated with waves, and on my finger would be a ring that has a oval sea green gemstone, with diamonds leading out. On both our rings, was a carving, saying as long as we're together. Nothing could go wrong. I felt like I did when I saw Percy in New Rome for the first time. An asteroid could wiped out everything and it wouldn't have mattered. As long as I was with Percy. 

Hera pulled me out of my thoughts. 

"You may now kiss the bride." she said. 

I lean in and we kiss. After about 5 seconds, we pull apart smiling. It was that simple. We were now married, unable of being apart. We would live our lives out together. New Rome University, then work. A perfect world include us growing old together, living out happy lives. But that most likely won't happen, especially when you're a demigod, so I plan to cherish every moment I spend with him. The applause thundered throughout the beach. Leo just screamed.

Sorry for another short chapter. It will get better, I promise.
