Author's POV

"Taehyung it... it was a mistake... you have to believe me..." Chloe tried to speak but didn't know what else to say, Taehyung didn't want to listen to her anymore.
"Don't make it more embarrassing than it already is Chloe. We both know this is not going to work." Taehyung replied coldly and was about to walk pass her to enter Jack's hospital room.
"At least admit it. It was never going to work out anyway because your head was stuck in the past with y/n." Chloe said, Taehyung stopped walking when he heard what she said.
"I never told her about my past with y/n..." He thought to himself and turned his head around.
"What past?" He asked to make sure he knows exactly what she was talking about.
"Don't play it dumb. I know all about your love story with her in your high school days..." She said, Taehyung didn't expect to hear this.
"How do you know?" Taehyung's blood pressure rose as he walked back towards her.
"Does it even matter anymore" Chloe looked back at him.
"Chloe how do you know?!" Taehyung was mad and stubborn, wondering how the hell she found out if he never mentioned his past in high school.

"You think you can build up a 'sanctuary' for her in the basement of my own house without me knowing about it? Really? I'm not fucking stupid Taehyung" Chloe replied angrily, leaving Taehyung speechless.
"How... you never go into the basement..." Taehyung mumbled, he was shocked.
"That's true. But your friend Oliver forgot to be a little less suspicious when he came in and out of our basement whenever he came to visit. Maybe you should ask him how I know all of this" Chloe admitted Oliver was the one who accidentally exposed the place.
"So Oliver told you?!" Taehyung kept asking.
"I forced him to tell me. Obviously I'm not going to let someone go if he's acting weird in my house. I told him that if he doesn't explain everything by himself I'll go down and see it for myself. Even after he showed me that little room in the basement and told me about your past with y/n and about you trying to save her from something, I never understood what you were trying to protect her from. I knew he wasn't telling all of the truth. And I guess I didn't really want to know all of the truth either..." She answered Taehyung, but wasn't over yet.
"After seeing all of the photos you kept there... the thought of you being an obsessed stalker popped into my head so many times, and honestly, I even had the thought of you being a psychopath." She said as her eyes began to flood with tears.

"If you knew... why didn't you do anything? Why didn't you break up with me?" Taehyung asked out of curiosity, wondering why she didn't leave him after thinking all of these things about him.
"Because I loved you. I loved you so much that nothing mattered to me.
When she first appeared in our house... You think I didn't notice the way you looked at her? So in love... and it was killing me inside. Because I loved you Taehyung, and still do" Chloe finished speaking, seeing Taehyung's disturbed face.
"It's pretty strange for me to hear you knew all about the photos and didn't do anything about it because you were 'in love' with me. Didn't you stop for a moment to think that maybe you're the one who's obsessed" Taehyung said, and then continued on his way to Jack's room.
Chloe was standing still with her mouth half open, tears falling down her eyes. She didn't think that this is how he'd respond, and she never imagined it'll end that way.

Taehyung stood in front of Jack as he got into the room, he stared at him laying on the bed with a sad look, not saying a word.
"Jack..." Taehyung said and got closer, sitting next to him in bed. Jack covered his face with his tiny hands,  and immediately after Taehyung took them off to look at his face again.
"Tata please don't yell at me..." Jack said and almost started crying again, but Taehyung hurried to calm him down.
"I'm not going to yell at you Jack" Taehyung said as he caressed his cheek.
