Harry's POV

Waking up to your smartass friend screaming your name from the kitchen isn't exactly my preferred way to wake up on a Sunday morning, but I'll deal with it.

"HARRY" Hermione's voice echoed through the stair wall. I groaned as I sat up in my bed. I yawned and stretched my arms and legs out. I then called down "Give me a moment to change, will you?" and stood up. My room is pretty cool, if I'd say so myself. I have a cozy small desk with a laptop I stole from Dudley, where I research all the muggle info I can get on the wizarding world. The Battle of Hogwarts really changed us a lot, and sort of completely cut our trio off from the wizarding world. I've hardly seen Ginny as well. I miss her.

I have pictures of my parents and...Sirius hanging in the walls. It kind of hurts looking at them, but it also makes me feel better at the same time.

After the war Professor McGonagall declared that Hogwarts obviously needed time to recover. We were asked to just try to find part time jobs until they received further notice. She said she would sent us a letter as soon as she knew what was going on. It's been 3 months and nothing. Ron, Hermione and I rented a muggle Flat in a random area, since we didn't really have anything to do. Hermione worked as a part time waiter in a restaurant down the street, while Ron and I tried to get information on what to do now. It was a pretty boring life, not gonna lie.

I walked into the bathroom, and freshened up. I then walked up to my closet and picked out baggy jeans, and a dark green hoodie. I grabbed my glasses and made my way downstairs to see what in the name of Merlin had caused Hermione to wake up the entire neighbourhood at 8am in the morning in a SUNDAY.

Hermione was sitting in the couch, crouched over a scroll of paper. Ron was eating (what else?) yet looked up and frowned when he saw me.

"Mate your wearing slytherin colours, y'know that?"

 Looking down at my outfit, I realised he was right. I smiled nervously, and replied;

"Didn't really think about that."

I then looked at Hermione who had now raised her head to look at me.

"What's up 'Mione?"

"You won't believe the letter I just received!"

 She smirked. There was a twinkle in her eye, like when she discovered a new idea that would help us get away with a reckless plan. I haven't seen that in her eyes in a while. Eager to know what she was talking about, I then said;

"Well, what is it?"

"Ronald, would you stop eating and come over here!"

Ron mumbled something, but got up from the table and walked towards us.

 "Wot?" He asked.

'Mione cleared her throat, and read the letter.

"Dear Mr.Potter, Mr.Weasly and Mrs.Granger,

You have been givin the opportunity to re-attend Hogwarts for a eighth year, making up for the one you missed due to difficulties we have experienced. You will, however attend a muggle school, since Hogwarts hasn't had the chance to completely recover from last year's incident. Mr.Potter, because of the excellent teaching skills you proved when teaching fellow students in the DA, you will be givin the chance to continue educating fellow children, if you accept this request. I will evaluate once you arrive."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Hermione continued;

"You will be taking muggle lessons along with wizarding lessons, which will be performed by me, Professor Sprout, Professor Flitwick and possibly other teachers as well. The school you will be attending, with your past classmates is called 'Junior High'. You will take this train ****** to your destination in the 15th of July, and will start on the 23rd.

I hope you are all well.

-Minerva, McGonagall."

Ron and I just stared at hair I'm complete shock. After what felt like eternity Ron finally said.

"Bloody Hell...."

"Did you hear that?! We can go back to Hogwarts!" Hermione exclaimed, and I completely shared her excitement, and I know Ron did to.

Finally, something to do. I know none of us would admit it in front of each other but our lives had really been feeling...empty lately. But finally I can go back to where I was happiest in my life. I smiled at the memories we had made at Hogwarts.

Suddenly Ron said;

"It will be different though, right? I mean, we won't use magic and we don't dress in robes and-"

"Oh Ronald, I'm sure it will be fine. Besides Neville, Luna, Sean and the rest will be there as well! We can finally see them again!" Hermione interrupted his thoughts.

"I guess..." he mumbled.

"Today is the 12th, isn't it?" I asked 'Mione, who was re-reading the letter, because she still couldn't believe what news we had just recieved.

"Yes." She replied, "we will get going in 3 days. According to Professor McGonagall we will be leaving at 3am in the morning for the station, as we still have to go through the muggle process."

"3AM?!" I asked, shocked.

Hermione laughed and Ron joined in. Soon we were all giggling, and finally, it felt like there was something to be laughing for . We were going home.
