BokuAka-Blind Date

𝙖/𝙣 𝙞 𝙖𝙢 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙞 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙚𝙣𝙟𝙤𝙮 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙨𝙤 𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙨!!

Oikawa draped across Akaashis lap as the other had turned down the offer of a blind date once again. "I am perfectly fine on my own, Tooru," He had explained, only to earn a dramatic eye roll from Oikawa, said male sitting up once again, turning to face Akaashi. "I dont get why you won't just let me try  to set you up with someone!" Tooru made sure to add extra emphasis on the word 'try'. For months now, Oikawa had been desperately attempting to set Akaashi up on a date. The man hadn't seen anyone in months, and though he insisted he was fine how he was, Oikawa could tell the former setter felt so lonely. Akaashi sat on Toorus' bed, picking at his fingernails, contemplating the pros and cons of having Oikawa set him up on a date. Akaashi had been feeling extremely lonely, he just missed having someone, but a blind date seemed so risky. "Okay," Akaashi finally said, looking at the other male, "You can set me up,". Oikawa immediately threw his arms around Akaashi, giggling and squealing, "I already found the perfect person for you!" Oikawa squealed, hoping off his bed, "I promise you'll love him!"

Akaashi stood in the mirror fixing up his hair while Oikawa had taken a seat on his bed, excited as ever. He couldnt seem to stop bouncing and squirming, "Calm yourself Tooru," Akaashi moved his hands from his hair to the tan coat he wore, flattening the collar down. He wore the coat over a cream turtleneck, that was tucked into a pair of gray plaid pants. Him and his date were just meeting at a small cafe on the corner of his street, there was no need to get too fancy. "Sorry 'Kaashi," Oikawa giggled. "I'm just very excited, now are you ready to go?" Akaashi took another look over his appearance, everything seemed to be in place. His teeth were brushed, his hair was combed, he showered , applied deodorant and cologne, his outfit was put together, and his bag was packed and hanging by the door. Though Akaashis appearance was ready, on the inside his emotions were jumbled in his brain. While he was excited he couldn't help but feel his nerves begin to creep up. Regret hot as Akaashi rethought over letting Oikawa set him up, but Akaashi was too far in to just cancel now. So, the raven haired boy nodded as a response to Oikawa's question. Oikawa was now standing, pushing Akaashi towards the front door, "Tooru, I can walk on my own," Akaashi shrugged his shoulder so Oikawa would let go, putting on his crossbody bag that held his phone, wallet, and keys. "Remember to sit at the table by the window by the door, that's where i told him you would be!" Oikawa instructed while Akaashi was putting on his shoes. "I know."

Now that Akaashi was sitting in his car, outside the small cafe, the nerves began to hit. His stomach had completely flipped upside down and his legs felt like jello, Akaashi could hardly remember the last time he had gone on a date, he could barely bring himself to turn off the car. Anticipation kept rising as he began to unbuckle and open his car door, stepping out into the cold. Akaashi slammed the car door, locking his car. He let himself take a deep breath to calm himself before finally beginning to walk towards the cafe's entrance. Akaashi was so nervous he was convinced he would be sick, but there was no way he would be able to back down now, he was already in the cafe, taking in the sweet smell of freshly baked pastries, and brewed coffee. Despite the anxiety, Akaashi felt relieved to find he had gotten there first, taking a seat at the table against the window by the entrance door. Akaashi was praying his date would arrive soon, everytime the bell rang announcing a customer's arrival, Akaashi's head shot in the direction of the door, only to be disappointed whenever it was not his date.
