Quick little A/N, i've never really written tsukiyama so just bare with me through this. I wasn't planning on doing too much tsukkiyama but then @ZeldaWarriorcatFAN requested tsukkiyama so here we are :) please do leave requests, i'll get to them as soon as i can! Okay enjoy this little one shot idea that has been rattling in my brain for a little while.
Fluff
Rain poured down on Tadashi as he rained through puddles, his hood pulling over his head, arm up to shield water from pouring into his eyes. Yamaguchi had gone on a walk, he needed to take a trip to the market to pick up a few small groceries, the weather had been nice that day, but Yamaguchi knew he should have double checked for rain, the sky was covered in clouds. Rain started to fall the moment Tadashi was too far from the market to go back, and barely halfway to his house. Luckily for Yamaguchi, Tsukishima's house sat right between his own home and the market, so here Tadashi was, running in the rain, calling tsukishima.
There were so many rings, Yamaguchi was afraid there would be so many answers, but to his relief there was a click and a mumbled ¨Yamaguchi?" Tadashi had started his explanation right away, "Tsukki! Did I wake you? Do you sound sleepy? Whatever, I'm running in the rain, and wanted to know if I could come over until the rain stopped," This sparked many questions from Tsukishima, his brows furrowing as he swung his legs over the side of his bed, "Why are you walking in the rain?" Not one of Tadashi's questions were answered, but he kept on running, his breath becoming short, "Tsukki, i'm coming over," and with that, Yamaguchi hung up the phone so he could focus on getting to Tsukishima's home as quickly as possible.
Yamaguchi was knocking on Tsukishima's door, shivering in the cold. By now Yamaguchi was soaked down to his socks, hair sticking to his forehead and neck, clothes dripping. He held his arms to his chest, his muscles tightened in an attempt to create warmth and stop his shivering. Kei's mother answered the door, her eyes widening, pulling Yamaguchi inside, despite the fact that he was dripping head to toe. "I didn't realize you were coming over, Yamaguchi, Kei must've not told me," Yamaguchi was working on getting his soaked sneakers off, aligning them with the other shoes at the door. "No, I'm sorry, this wasn't really planned..i got stuck in the rain," Yamaguchi stood in the puddle of water he was creating, not wanting to trail water throughout the house. "Let me get you a towel, and I'm sure Kei will let you borrow some clothes," Keis mother was walking off now, in a desperate search for a towel. Tsukishima was walking to the entryway now, him being met with a cold, wet, and shivering Tadashi. "Is it really raining that hard?" Tsukishima was grabbing Yamaguchi by the arm, leading the male back to his bedroom. Yamaguchi hadn't bothered protesting, even though he felt a pang of guilt for dripping all through the house. "Tsuki" Yamaguchi was setting the bag of groceries on Tsukishima's desk, Tadashi slipping off his coat, "You wouldn't mind if I borrowed some of your clothes?" YAmaguchi asked this calmly, even if he felt weird about it all. He shouldn't feel weird about asking to borrow clothes, he has done it before, and this was his boyfriend. Despite all of things. Tadashi still felt as if Tsukishima would disapprove of Yamaguchi borrowing some clothes. "Sure," A bland answer, but one that was common from Tsukishima. So the anxiety Yamaguchi had built up was unnecessary. With a small nod, Yamaguchi was standing and Tsukishima's drawers, choosing a pair of old sweats and a shirt. "Should I change here?" Yamaguchi asked as he fidgeted with the fabric of the shirt he held. Tsukishima only shrugged as he sat back on his bed, picking a book up from his nightstand. Yamaguchi had memorized each body language of tsukis, making a list of what each other meant. Tsukishima's shrug was a "sure go ahead", though Yamaguchi still felt as if he was making Tsukishima uncomfortable by changing in front of him, it didn't matter they had changed in front of each other before, or what they have bathed together, it didn't even matter that Tsukishima wasn't paying attention, Tadashi still felt as if he would make Kei feel uncomfortable. Yamaguchi just shoved these feelings down, sliding off his soaked shirt to instead wear Tsukishima's dry and warm one. The pair were around the same size, so exchanging clothes between the two was a normal occurrence. After Yamaguchi's top half changed, he got his bottoms changed, putting on the black sweats Tsuki had provided him with.
Now that Yamaguchi was dried and dressed, wet clothes hanging on the bathtub in Tsukis bathroom, it was a matter of them finding out activities the pair could do while the storm raged out outside. For now, they had resorted to Yamaguchis snuggled up in Tsukishima's lap, the two sharing a book. Tsukishima had his beach leaned up against a few pillows, Yamaguchi laying in Tsukishima's lap, Kei holding a book in front of the two as they read. Tsuki tends to read at a faster pace, but Yamaguchi didn't mind too much when he'd flip the page when tadashi had not completed his sentence.
It wasn't too long until Tadashi grew bored, wishing to sit and talk with tsuki, or play a card game, maybe even just watch a movie, something a little more entertaining then starting 3 pages without getting to finish them. Yamaguchi began to shift in his boyfriend's lap, turning so their chests were against each other, "Kei?" Yamaguchi's voice was so soft, so careful, and almost delicate in a way. Tsukishima shifted his eyes down to meet Yamaguchi's, "Tadashi?" Kei had raised a brow, placing a finger at the sentence he was currently on so he wouldn't lose his place. "Can we play a game?" Yamaguchi spoke, beginning to trail his fingers across Tsukishima's chest which caused the other to shiver. "What game were you thinking? I don't have many games we can play," Kei had resumed reading, turning the page. Yamaguchi just gave a defeated sigh, his head resting on the others chest, "I don't know, i just want to do something with you," Tsukishima closed up his book, setting it next to him on his bed, "What were you wanting to do?" Kei began to curl a piece of Yamaguchi's dripping hair between his fingers, "i'm not sure," Yamaguchi answered with a defeated sigh, eyes peering across the others bedroom in hope for an idea. He spotted a chair, a few blankets spread across his bed, some pillows on the floor (Tsukishima must've not made his bed). Suddenly, Yamaguchi was standing up, and swinging open Keis closet doors, searching for an extra sheet, maybe another comforter. This sparked Keis attention, said the man propping himself up on his elbow "What are you doing?" He asked, cocking a brow, Yamaguchi spun around on his heel, and extra white bed sheet in his arms, "Let's build a fort together,"
There were a few kitchen chairs set up in the middle of Tsukishima's room now, a sheet draped over them. Inside was piled up pillows and blankets, fairy lights along the top of the sheet to add in some lights. Tadashi crawled into their fort, Tsukishima's laptop on his hand. "You're sure there is enough room for both me and you in there?" Tsukishima peeked his head in, "Of course there is room, we cleared out space in your room for a reason!" With one last eye roll, Tsukishima was crawling into the fort, snuggling up against Yamaguchi with the laptop resting on their thighs. The two of them were attempting to find a movie to watch, them scrolling through Disney+. Rain still poured down against the window in Tsukis bedroom as the two decided on watching Bolt. They had adjusted to wear Yamagiuchi laid his head on Tsukishima's chest, him listening to the beating of Keis heart as he watched the opening sequence begin. Yamaguchi hadn't spent a day like this with Tsukishima, where he could just lay with his head on his boyfriend's chest, bathing in the silence. It was comforting, the time spent with Tsukishima. Yamaguchi made sure to soak up every ounce of it.
I know this ending is abrupt and extremely rushed but i gave up writing this about halfway through but shouldn't just give up so here we are. Chances of me writing tsukiyama again are low. I mean maybe you found this oneshot cute i don't know haha.
Remember to leave requests!
