You and Levi had been friends for awhile now. When you first joined the survey corps, he found you annoying and had a strong urge to leave you every time there was a mission. You managed to befriend him by dropping off tea for him every morning and going bazerk with cleaning.

It had been 1 year since you met and today marked that anniversary. To celebrate, you were going to give him a certain rare flower by the name of Strelitzia. You thought it would be meaningful since the flowers themselves represented freedom.

You prepared yourself, making sure your uniform was proper and clean so you wouldn't be scolded before knocking on the door of his office.

"Name and business" an oh-so-familiar voice stated from the other side

"Y/N, sir. I have a few things to report plus an additional thing." You announced, still formal but not as much as you should have been.

"Come in" he replied

Going inside and shutting the door behind you, you took a moment to admire the state of cleanliness in his office. His cleaning and organization was meticulous, why, hardly anyone could meet his standards of spotless.
The satisfying sight brought a small smile to your lips.

Finally turning to face him, the smile turned into a grimace as you saw the state he was in. His normally shining, gray eyes were dull and were hanging above dark eye bags. His brows seemed to be in a permanent serious state and he was hunched over stacks of paper work.

"U-uhm...Levi...?"

"What." He replied snappily.

"Do you...er... really think this is healthy?" You dared to ask, acknowledging his annoyed expression.

"Whether what I do is healthy or not is none of your concern, L/N"

"Ooo so i-it's L/N now?" You tested your boundaries with a nervous grin. As bad as you felt for Levi, you had to admit you loved teasing the guy.

"Say what you game to say and get out"

"Ok ok." You cleared your throat "Erwin wanted me to inform you of an upcoming adventure outside the walls. It will be to capture two titans for Hanji to experiment with. He said it had to do with Ilse Langner. To find out if any others can speak. He asked that you meet him in his office later along with current Levi squad."

He gave a nod of acknowledgment, still scribbling over papers.

"Is that all"

You almost nodded but then remembered the flowers that were behind your back in a vase. The flowers themselves were a bright yellow for the most part, but had petals colored blue,green, purple, and red. The petals were shaped like miniature spears coming from a sea green stem.

"Well, actually um-"

"Hurry up"

"I got you a gift!"

He finally looked up from his paperwork, raising an eyebrow at you.

"A gift...?" He muttered

"Yes! Finally putting your hands in front of you, you placed the vase on his desk.

"I heard that they symbolize freedom so I thought you'd like them-"
