Zillion times I remember you
Million times I wonder,
If love alone could have held you back
You would have stayed with me forever.
In life you were my utmost love
In death you reside in my heart,
Time can never fill the void
Your memories can never be apart.
Today is your birthday, Dad
And all I have those memories of yours,
I know tears can't bring you back
But it lessens the pain even not cures.
Again I have to cajole my heart
By saying you are here,
Again I have to shut my eyes
To feel you close and near.
The day God took you home
But you never left my mind,
A part of me went with you
That I am still trying to find.
