You reside in me
The stars remind me of you,
Whenever I see.
When the headwind
Touches my face
And the waves wash my feet,
I hear your voice
In my every heartbeat.
When the trees
Shed the leaves
to wear a new,
the virgin raindrops
and the petrichor
remind me it is you.
So what if you are
Not with me in this world,
R.I.P my lovable
I wish it meant
Return If Possible.

I don't need a day
To remember or to say
That I love you Dad
Whether I am happy or sad.
I won't say in grief
That you held my hand
for a brief,
Rather I would say
with a smile
you were the sunshine
even though for a while.
