Xoras Galaxy (Discontinued)

Chapter 2: What's Wrong, Amelia?

It is now the day before they board the Skylar and fly to Xoras Galaxy; the kids have been ready for the last two weeks, only now that they mourn the staying of earth.

"Dad?" asked Liam.

"yes, Liam?"

"won't you miss the Earth?"

"Of course, I will miss the Earth; it's our only home." Said Greggory In a caring tone.

"How about our family? How about grandma and grandpa?"

"Of course."

"Then why are we going?"

Greggory paused for a minute, thinking for an answer.

"Because... Humanity depends on us; if you came with us, we would be so proud."

"Hmm, OK." Said Liam in a sad tone.

The Skylar is ready for the mission, and it is made for a long journey in space. It got water and all the essential things to survive in space.
After a few hours of watching and preparing for the flight, Amelia suddenly disappeared, with some traces of food from breakfast. Only then that Jennifer and Greggory found out.

"Hey, have you seen Amelia?" asked Greggory. "I need her to pack for the trip."

"No, why? I haven't seen her in her room... let's ask the boys."

Suddenly, the parents got an afraid yet worried feeling going down their spines. Greggory and Jennifer went to each boy's room, asking the same question, but no one saw her; she didn't even touch her morning hot chocolate (which she usually consumes after breakfast.)

"Oh, where could she be?"

Jennifer checked everything, but Amelia was not there.

"Boys, search all over the house. we need to find her, what if she's in the streets... or even in the lost in that forest!" said Jennifer, pointing out the window which you can see a forest. (their neighbourhood is located near a dense forest.)

All of them started to be worried and began to search all around the house again.

They checked the basement, under all of the beds, in the kitchen, in the bathroom, in the living room, in the laundry room, in the boy's room, in her room, in the parent's room, outside the house, the lawn, the street, and in the car. Still, she was not found. Everyone started to panic. Thinking if she got lost or even ran away.. until Olivia got an idea.

"Did we check the dense forest In our neighbourhood?" asked Olivia.

"no, why?" said Greggory.

"then she might be there; let's go check." 

"We trust Olivia; we will go with her," said Liam and Oliver together.

"Alright, but you better be careful."

"ok, mom." said the three kids.

The three kids opened the front door, blasted with a little bit of wind. They went to the dense forest in hopes of finding Amelia. When they entered the dense forest, they saw a kind of dark figure.. sitting on a big-black-mossy rock,

"Is that you, Amelia?" said Oliver with a scared tone,

*no response*

The Children approached the dark figure. They got closer and closer. 

And It was Amelia, but she appears to be crying. Maybe she got injured? Or perhaps she's afraid of something.

"Amelia, what's wrong? Did you get hurt?" asked Liam.

"I-I don't want to go to the spaceship, and I want to stay at Earth. I-I want to stay with my friends... I don't want to leave my home.. please. let me stay here, tell mom and dad, please.." said Amelia in that crying-shrivelled voice.

"Oh, Amelia.. this is a mission you must understand; we are expected to discover other life forms in a galaxy, you know.. NASA told me that you could sketch and draw the animals living in the galaxy; you could even study them.."
"Please cheer up; mom and dad were worried about you, we were worried about you, please come with us, we could drink hot chocolate every day if you want, I am your sister, I will do everything for you," said Olivia in a caring yet sad tone.

*sniffs* "thank you guys, come, let's go home." said Amelia while wiping out her tears.

And of they go out the dense forest, arriving in the house in about fifteen minutes.

"Amelia! I was so worried!" shouted the parents in a sad tone.

"I'm so sorry, guys, I was selfish; I hope you can forgive me; I love you both," said Amelia in a rather shrivelled voice.

"oh, honey, of course, we forgive you. We love you all so much," said Jennifer.

"Thank you, Liam, Oliver, and Olivia; we would have never found her without you; we love you."

Then, they all had a heartwarming hug.

"ok, let's all prepare for our journey tomorrow. I hope you all are ready," said Jennifer as the day continues.
